Its a nice game with a nice concept, I think it would be nicer if the icons on the selves are better visible, and if the stored started a bit smalller
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD54 → Drift Store

I like the concept and mechanics, but my opinion is that the text in groceries is hard to understand, probably because of the color
Not my type of game personally, but i enjoyed rolling around the store. Similar to the comment above i do agree that it would have been nice if the icons were more visible. :)
It's a little bit hard to find things you actually need. Just as in real life. And you did quite convincingly convey the tediousness of everyday shopping :D
I like driving my trolley around, but I found it frustrating trying to locate where items are - there are too many shelves, and the numbers on the shelves are completely unhelpful to me. Maybe if on the list there were corresponding numbers it would be easier to find things
Good idea, I really like the sensation of driving my kart. You can improve on design with more clear information of were the products are (minimaps) and increased difficulty with some areas banned during the first days Good job !
Just a reminder: There is a map which displays the locations of the needed items. It can be opened with the hotkey 'm'. We had a button designed but didn't manage to implement it til the deadline.
Nice concept. but the icon opacity are way too low you can't clearly see where thing would be. and i encounter a nullreference exception when i picked up the squeaky dog toy and could place any more item in the trolley.
Welp, items in my cart fell into `/dev/null` and I can't pick them up anymore...
(^still me, from the comment above)
In general, I feel that this is a perfectly accurate recreation of going to shop for groceries, which ends up being... just as fun.
The concept might've been much more effective if there were just few items, so that the player could actually memorize their location and slowly improve their times, instead of relying on the minimap all the time...
The item fitting minigame is great, and it's interesting that every item has a different shape, but ends up being mechanically irrelevant due to the slow pace of the game...
Really liked the idea. I think speeding up the movement (and therefore making it more uncontrollable) while making the map bigger could prove to make the game more hectic. I also liked the npcs running all over the place and causing a hazard. I wish there was some audio like frantic music or a little jingle whenever you got the right items but thats not the end of the world considering this is a jam game. Good work!
Very fun experience. I knew the first second I saw the screen, that it will be annoying as hell to get the groceries done and I loved it ;D: The only thing I would recommend is, that the timer should be clearer and also better visual hints where to find the groceries on the list. Otherwise I see it as a perfect start for a multiplayer game, where you have to compete with others on who is the fastest one, while other npc shoppers block your way :D
Ohhhh these controls were so frustrating! Nice potential though
