The concept is pretty cool and it feels like a challenge to complete (not in a bad way, i actually enjoyed it). The art was gorgeous too, congrats!
i escaped the darkness by randomly finding a raft and i have no idea what happened
I HAVE ESCAPED THE DARKNESS. LOVELY ART STYLE!
Released a patch with following bug fixes: - Item picking now works accurately - Adjusted some collision shapes on items - Adjusted positioning of left-hand/right-hand items
The ldjam embed shows an error, and the itch.io embed seems to be at a broken scale or something (screenshot attached). I wish I could play this! It looks fun!
HTML versions are definitely the best way to go. But having a Windows download is a great fallback for 90% of the other folks out there.
lmk if you fix the itch.io version! I'll give you a review again later!

@ukulelefury added a Windows download!
Still unsure what's wrong with itch.io version - it works fine for some of us, and then it does this for others.
Nice and short game. I somehow managed to lose the first rope that I made which extended the play time a bit :sweat_smile:
Design-wise, the items disappearing encourages players to move very slowly and carefully which I personally didn't find very fun. What do you think about making the candle burn-out after some time (could then be re-lit back at the campfire), could give players more sense of urgency.
All-in-all, great jam game and congrats on submission!
Hi, clever little idea and use of limited space. I found the candle and fire areas a bit too little for my liking. The fact that you can move freely on a grid based game is also a bit disturbing. Thank you for you subscription.
I found the game very fun and interesting. I like the idea that in the darkness the items disappear .There are some bugs as well, for example if you try to craft the items and you don't have the resources for it, and after you try to interact with them, the game is crashing. Overall the game is awesome, good luck.
@zanagi We initially planned to have craftable campfires that need to be fed with branches to keep burning, along with many other ideas, but had to cut most of that to finish on time. Expiring candle might make even more sense. Thanks for the idea!
@ukulelefury we fixed the itch.io version, you should now be able to see the whole screen.
@imontheweb @dannysimo So apparently the game allows you to craft things even if you don't have resources. Definitely a bug. Sorry about that and please just don't do that ^_^;;
Cool game. I think the gameplay concept was very good, considering how simple the idea is. Really liked the art and audio. Definitely a very good use of the theme, only being able to see a handful of elements at a time. Stupid night creatures.
Really cool game! I loved the unique mechanics you designed around the light. I really like the concept of limited space being caused by a limited amount of light. My favourite part of the game though was the music! Good job raspgalax! The artwork is great too. The character is really cute. Do they have a name?
I think this could be an awesome puzzle game if more levels were added to it. This mechanic would also be really cool in like a survival horror game.
Overall, you all did a great job :smile:
I loved the mechanic of things disappearing in the darkness and i wish it was expanded upon. The music is nice. Good game
such a cool idea to have 'enemies' that aren't visible but cause difficulty by moving all your stuff! It was a bit difficult to keep track of items coming & going while walking in one direction - maybe the player's visibility should be expanded (perhaps as an actual circle instead of the cross shape?), or reduce the walking speed so you don't zip past an important item? though I got used to it eventually.
As said by others would be great to see it expanded upon with more puzzles!:)
nice game!! i love the design
