Really love the low poly model of the player character! Flying on the broom feels pretty good too. Nice job!

Really love the low poly model of the player character! Flying on the broom feels pretty good too. Nice job!
Beautiful game, I felt chill vibes like from Death stranding or Superflight. I collected 2000 gold, but there's same dialoge from beginning. Is it not finished yet or did I miss smth?
@kulich strange, did you have more than 2000 gold? And was the version you downloaded LDJam1.02? There's 3 different endings and you should have been able to trigger some of them talking to Astella with 2000+ gold. Sorry to hear that happened I put a lot of thought into the endings.
@boaheck-artgent it was exactly 2000) Maybe that was the problem?
@kulich unlucky, an off by one error. I'll double check and fix that today!
@kulich I've fixed that now, thanks for reporting the issue!
Nice vibes! I liked flying around and delivering packages.
I should say though that I was about to give up, because for quite some time I didn't understand how to fly, that there was a double jump to activate it... I don't think I saw any instruction on it.
Also I spent quite some time just flying around before I realized that I should press Q near people to activate their dialogs... I was expecting something to happen with those I could interact with, some prompt or such.
With regards to the controls, since it was such a restful game and since one needed to fly rather far, I would have liked if while on the broom I didn't need to press down W to keep going.
On ground it also felt like the turning radius was more of a flight thing than reasonable while walking around, which made it a bit harder than it should to walk up to people.
I managed some minor bugs too like running in the air while on the broom and flying on the ground without the broom.
The music was relaxing, the landscapes neat and I opted for ending 1... though that place some where far off seemed tempting.
All in all though a very solid entry.
@local-minimum thanks for the in depth feedback. Making something with this scope in 72 hours definitely lead to some rough around the edges results haha. Animations were only added in the last 2 hours... I'll update the controls on itch and add them to this page too. Was very tired when I first wrote them up. Glad you didn't give up. An auto move toggle button is high on my list of priorities for a post jam release. I had a chill playtest of an updated build today and ended up wanting auto move very badly despite having a really good time.
It was a beautiful, calming experience. I regretted that I took another end just before reaching 2000 gold. I like that you put some thought into the game world.
@mpk90 thank you I really did my best to give the game world as much thought as possible. Last few Ludum dares I left level design till the last minute so I wanted to make it integral to the process this time.
Wow! I was surprised by the atmosphere. It has a really nice vibe to it. Cozy game about flying around and exploring the world. Impressive.
Good game to chill with LoFi Girl in background
Neat game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 53 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. https://youtu.be/wY-Lotk5KuU
Lovely game, and very ambitious. It was really nice to see the variety in villages and landscapes, and flying around gave a very unique sense of scale and gravitas to the whole thing. Navigating by word of mouth/landmarks was very fun and I really enjoyed the game! I'll have to get those other 2 endings some time...
PS: Oh, I shouldgive more feedback, too! Being able to have tighter controls/turn radius on foot would have been nice, as would an 'auto-fly' toggle so I didn't need to keep holding 'W'. I would love more things to navigate/do on foot in a hypothetical larger version of this, too! :-)
@hacksawunit ooh Imissed your comment here, the post jam version actually already has tighter on foot turning and an auto move, as well as an improved npc directions system. Glad you enjoyed!
