Ich lieb den Art style total und die Atmosphäre ist mega! Sound Design ist so gut!
I really love the monster designs and overall aesthetics!
I was stuck on the second screen, unfortunately. I'll try to fix it somehow. I'm sure your game is very cool!!! Animation and drawing on the main menu is very attractive
As above, I'm stuck on the second screen. :c
First of all, thank you for your comments. We're really glad that you tested our game. Regarding the issue with the second screen, it's a bit difficult to reach the last scene because you have to try around a bit on the right side until you hit the right point.
Thanks for the Feedback. As of getting stuck on the second screen behind the well. We recommend using the Itch.io version or the downloadable Windows version until we fix the issue. mangolix.itch.io/sorrowland
Edit: We fixed the issue :)
The atmosphere is amazing and I love the creepy monsters, so cool! I only wish there was a way to look up the controls and that the "clickable"/interactable parts of the screen were a little more clear. :)
It's a really cool atmosphere and art style! I think increasing the walk speed of the player character would help speed up the game's pacing a bit.
The atmosphere is really good, and I really love the artstyle, especially the art from the main menu! I wonder if Omori was one of your inspirations haha
Technically speaking, I find the game too slow and it's difficult to know what to do. But great work however! :)
I like the style and the sounds, but I'm so confused! Why use right mouse button and E? Why not Left and E? Or just Left Mouse Button both for walking and picking up objects? What does those strange stripes mean? Is this a bug or some kind of TV imitation or just a creepy effect? It's rather painful for the eyes since you have to hunt for the objects to pick up. I'd also appreciate if the objects have names in the inventory. And is there a way to understand which object belongs to which lost soul other that trial and error? By the way, the Souls are super cool, it would be fun to see them in action, I kinda hoped they would do an attack of some kind if you disturb them with wrong objects =)
I like the concept and mood so far! For the full version I think it would be nice to be able to speak with the Souls first to better be able to guess at which object is the correct one. I definitely like that you can offer them the wrong ones as well and see their reactions to it. I'd also suggest working on the textbox a bit so it doesn't warp around the items (maybe a smaller font?). Hope you enjoy working more on this game :)
Great atmosphere. Very nice visual style. Not without problems, though: 1. The rippling filter is very irritating (and to the eyes too), the game just needs the feature to turn it off. 2. Since the game is built on 2D graphics, it is very difficult to feel the perspective in such an implementation (and the filter doesn't help with this at all), it is hard to understand where, and most importantly, how to go. It would not hurt if the possible paths of passage into the depths were more clearly highlighted. 3. In my opinion, the MC's speed is too slow. 4. Well, there is practically no gameplay in the game. The core of a good point-and-click game is clever puzzles and interesting minigames. Here, they would definitely fit in.
And yet, graphically and even more so aesthetically, it's a great, polished project, just perfect for the jam. As a big enjoyer of Fran Bow, I appreciate this type of project, and I'm glad that I got acquainted with this one. I would really like to see it completed, fully polished, complemented by a decent storyline and mechanics.
Very spooky, the interlacing shader is a cool effect. Looking at a scene, I had a really hard time telling where the transition areas to adjacent scenes where. Also, it would be great if the "Press E" prompt didn't get smaller when deeper in the scene.
The player on this page was too small for me, but the screen goes black when I go fullscreen, so I had to play the version on itch.io
The concept is great and I think it's a smart take on "delivery".
I really like the point-and-click mechanic, the art looks great (maybe just another filter or a bit of opacity on it could help see the art better), cool concept and atmosphere, a lot of potential if you continue to work on this game, good job
The art is pretty :) It's really hard to tell where you can move, i was stuck on the first screen for quite some time, maybe an indicator showing where you can exit a scene could have been helpful :)
