I had some problems climbing up, but I love the idea! I felt pretty epic climbing the city! Would prefer WASD.
I was struggling with the controls. It wasn't very clear when I would move toward the anchor point or when I would fall. It seems like it is heavily influenced by your current momentum, for example only being able to begin ascending when jumping from the ground.
@friesforfree Glad you liked it! Not sure what you mean though, you can't climb up, only way to go up is to swing your way up. Also walking works with wasd, or what do you mean?
Spent way too long just swinging around town ignoring my walkie-talkie, guess some people got their pizzas cold! :) Well done!
I think the idea behind this game is truly fascinating, though it definitely presented some significant challenges during development. However, once you get the hang of it, the gameplay is incredibly entertaining. That being said, I have to admit that I've developed a bit of a grudge against that darn bird.
Swinging along like spiderman was and delivering pizza was a funny idea. I had some problems getting getting back up when I fell down. More variety of the building sizes would have been great. Overall an interesting entry;-)
Swinging worked well but there aren't any mechanical concessions to help the player achieve landing on a specific rooftop to complete their delivery.
Also, movement on Arrow Keys with jump on Space needs some hand gymnastics. Try sticking to WASD instead :)
Enjoyable working simple game. The curve to get the swinging took a few minutes but after that I was delivering having fun!
Bit of a learning curve with the swinging but when I got it down it was awesome!
Hey this is kind of like my game! Good job.
This game is fun! I played it for a lot longer than I expected. I really liked the speed lines when you really get going as it really makes you feel like you are in a of movie. It is very satisfying to swing around and I feel that the mechanics are quite polished! The birds are pretty hard to hit but chasing them down throughout the city is a lot of fun. Then, when you finally hit them, that is very satisfying. This game could benefit from more graphics of course but I see that that wasn't the goal of this jam. Great job!
I had a fun time swinging around as pizza-man. the little lines helped heaps with the feeling of speed. I would have liked a bit more control in the air with WASD or maybe a way to jump off you web at the end of a swing for a boost. hitting the birds was a bit annoying
Really hard to hit the birds. Nice web mechanics and overall pretty fun to swing around.
