The mood is interesting, the game feels cohesive. A bit difficult to play because of the collisions. What engine did you use? I liked that the game loaded quickly!

Wonderful game, I like it! A bit hard and challenging, but fun for fans of platformers. Thank you!
Interesting and challenging platformer. Great first attempt!
Good first attempt! I didn't really understand what was going on, and after I got a little bit into the level the blobs got me and slowed me down. I threw all my cards at them, then the blobs disappeared - but after that I still couldn't move!
I like how monsters follow you, this is pretty innovative idea for the platformer =)
Cute monster animations and the player animations are very smooth. The music is a bit discordant for me. I also could not find a way to restart the game after losing, and couldn't really understand what I was doing most of the time. The little spinning-wheel things at the sides of the level seem to give me a new hand of cards? And other adventurers need cards?
I really enjoy all of the character sprites, animation, and the overall visual design - it's not completely cohesive but there is a clear vision here and it's very cute and charming!
The main gameplay loop, however, is immediately a bit confusing - you have a hand of cards, there are cards of different rarities, coins, and hearts but the player has no familiarity with any of it on starting (outside of your write-up).
You may want to considering how you can tie these systems together to create a more unified and straightforward experience. Perhaps your health could be the amount of cards remaining and getting hit takes your cards - currency could even be cashing in on cards and their value could come from their rarity.
Regardless, I had fun; it looks like this is your first jam as a team and overall you show a lot of promise - nice work!
Thank you for playing our game. We used GameMaker engine to make this game.@jiexdrop
Thank you for playing our game. We are sorry that you could not find any way to replenish the cards, because there is no such part in the game, the cards are not replenishable. In the game, you play as a merchant. You can choose to deliver cards to other merchants and they will give you more coins to improve your final score. The merchants in the game never die, but the cards can be robbed by monsters, and losing all your cards means you can't score at the end. We didn't make a button in the game to restart the game unless you pass the level (even if you don't have cards). You may be able to restart the game by refreshing the page.@thesmellofoxygen
Thank you very much for playing our game and giving us valuable suggestions. We took into account the problems you mentioned, but because of the ability and time, we were not able to make that part. We will improve our ability and make a better version in the future. Finally, thank you very much again for your recognition and encouragement to our team.@tomatolamp
I really like your games! The idea and design of the game are great! Especially the art style is very interesting and the characters are very cute. I love it! Including its animation is great!! If only there were more levels!
Great, Like it
Nice work on your first game for a jam. The art is quite nice, and I like that there's a brief intro cinematic. Also the combination of throwing cards and jumping on heads gives the gameplay some variety. However, I would rethink the control scheme -- W would have been better for jumping than the Spacebar. In fact, for games like this where you don't use the mouse, it's more common to use the arrow keys to move around (with up to jump) and ZXC/ASD for different actions than to use WASD. The music was also a little repetitive, and it would have been nice to have a bit more of the gameplay explained in-game, as other commenters have mentioned. A solid first effort -- keep making games!
@david-yates It is hard to believe that you can find our game in such a low Smart balance. First of all, thank you for playing our game and giving your opinion. About the control scheme, to be honest, I am not used to use my right hand to control the direction, which makes me feel a little uncomfortable. But through your feedback, we realize that there may be some problems with the control scheme. After that we will try a more reasonable way of button control. About the problem of game play introduction, you are right, we should add more instructions in the game. Thank you for your encouragement, we will try to do better in the future.
Thank you to all the players who came to play our game, you made our team's efforts not in vain.
Holy moly, that music was loud! I couldn't hear the sound effects over it. The game looks great though, I love the main character and their massive ruckack! It looks just like an arcade classic from the 80's, like Newzeland Story or Pang!
