Have no idea how to earn money ;(
art is awesome. but i didnt understand how to earn money, i could only wait for the vials to accumulate. also the controls are smooth
Sorry everyone, the game had a bug that blocked the whole gameplay, now the game should work properly!
@arficord @dorzhieva-yana now all the bugs should be fixed! have fun time!
I love the asthetics but I have to admit that I am having problem understaning gameplay. Im not sure what shoud I do and its unclear how to earn money.
I love this game!
I like the music and the theme of space traveling. Game has good vibes of the old school games.
The music and vibe is amazing.
Well done on having different screens (main game screen, maps, etc), and switching between them is quite seamless.
Great UI implementation, I rarely see UI with such complexity (pop up windows, list, etc) done in a game jam, especially that I don't see any obvious bug on the UI.
I'm not an art person, but I believe that for pixel arts, the pixel size should be the same for different objects. For example, if you look at the station and the planet separately, they don't seems to be in a same game.
Gameplay vise it's a bit lacking, you just buy station and ship, and that's all. It would be fine if there's some goal or penalty or timer, which requires the player to plan out their buying/expand strategy.
Sprites are beautiful and the system is great, good job.
Gonna be totally honest, I could not figure out how to "play" this game, even reading your description over and over. I see nothing happening on my screen but my money keeps going up. I'm guessing this is an idle game and my ships are delivering automatically? I don't understand the significance of the "Red" systems.
When I first clicked on the other systems, the default zoom level is like super zoomed into the Sun, I suggest starting it out zoomed out view view of the entire system.
I can purchase things but I don't know what any of them do. Am I supposed to build more "stations"? How do I get more "ships" beyond the 4 ships? I have Eagles researched but I can't buy any more of them since I had 4 ships.
Apart from the gameplay issues, really nice job with the aesthetic, and the UI style fits in quite well too.
Edit: OHHH okay I finally get it (after like 15 minutes). I needed to scroll down in the "builds" to see the option to buy more stations and also more ships. I also see the ships now, but they are TIIIINY and so hard to spot.
Suggestions: - Ships and stations need to be 1000% more visible. Perhaps they need to be bigger, or different color against the background, or have trails drawn behind them. - Make the UI windows longer and also display a scroll bar if its scrollable - Start the game out with one "system" and inside that system, until the player has some idea of what is happening. On the 'overworld' screen, you can't see anything progress or move, so that just adds to the confusion. Maybe unlocking other systems can be a research item. - Don't progress the game until its made clear that the player knows what's happening by their actions. I didn't do anything, so I shouldn't be making money, and systems shouldn't be turning red, because I'm still figuring out whats going on. - Perhaps make it so that the player needs to set trade routes or something, so that their action is what sets the deliveries into motion?
@francis thanks for the suggestions! we tried to make something ambitious but we didn't had enough time to finish all mechanics and polish them so its seems a bit raw i guess, and yes, it's the idle game
The audio and graphics are really nice, but I was having issues figuring out how to play. This is a neat concept and a great entry though.
I like the graphics and sound, and I love the idea of a game where I build an interplanetary mail system, but the gameplay needs a lot of work. Mostly, I would like to get a better sense of what effect my actions are having on the world around me. Once I figured out I was supposed to zoom out after going to a system, it was cool to look at the different planets and stuff, but I couldn't click on or do much of anything.
Back in the main game area, after I waited for my money and research to get high enough, I was able to buy things from the shops, but I didn't see the effects of the things I bought in the world. Maybe my money went up faster? I couldn't tell.
I'm also not big on the decision to start the game off with money and research already coming in, or have colonisation happen so fast. It just added to my feeling of not really being a participant in what was happening.
Awesome graphics and visual effect! And music! I fell like research points are points up a bit too slow (or I'm just missing something) and a description what each research and ship would be nice, to know better how they work. Besides that nice game!
The sound, graphics and idea is there - but I couldn't get pretty much any delivery going. I could only research with research points gained automatically.
The station is non-clickable to deliver, and there are no hints how to do that.
Later I realized I can actually move camera around and zoom. Found station and planets - but nothing was usable.
Needs at least some kind of walk-through or tutorial.
Overall seems like a complex and thought-through project though.
