Those whales MOVE FAST! I like how even though its space you still drive a harvester :D
Neat little space shooter, controls felt good if a little too floaty but we are in space after all :)
It felt a bit hard at the beginning but I think I got the hang of it after a while. Controls were a bit sloppy and it was hard to get used to, but interesting idea overall.
The whales are a bit too small to be able to keep up with. I think the game needs a bit more to it as the controls were a bit difficult, but you did a good job. I think in terms of gameplay a health upgrade/refill of some kind would help for sure!
I was a bit confused if I was supposed to the shoot the small moving things or just the whales? If just the whales then maybe the spawn rate could be a bit higher as it felt like I had to wait a lot for one to appear. I liked the art though and moving the farmer felt good.
Cool but dark concept :D I like the general game mechanic but the controls are too hard and I often got lost in space. I think the game could be a lot better to handle if it is like ten times slower
When you instantiate the bullet prefab instead of Quanternion.identity if you do transform.rotation (assuming the shoot script is attached to the player) it will copy the same rotation as the player! Also the audio comes out weirdly, make sure to set it to 2D!
Besides those 2 little things it's pretty cool!
Neat concept - pretty fun to shoot and upgrade for the most part though the asteroids were usually way too fast to react to and movement felt a bit awkward. Also I noticed that you can just mash left click to shoot faster, so it wasn't clear if the fire rate upgrade was worth it. Sometimes I seemed to take damage for no reason too which is how I died (maybe an asteroid spawning on top of you?). Without a way to get health back it's pretty tough. Still a cool concept, nice work.
