I love the overall aesthetic and how everthing sticks together consistently. Great job!

Great game, easy to remember the controls but hard to make them work as you want them to. Maybe some kind of story or image at the bottom would make it more obvious that you shouldn't let the monsters there. I originally thought I just had to survive. The music and sound effects were perfect though.

I play this more than I like to admit. I tried so many different tactics

1. Aim only horizontally 2. Aim only vertically 3. Spam the bottom row until I can't then go up and alternative between last 3 row 4. Chase after enemy before they spam

My highest is still only 24. I don't die due to them killing me. I usually die because I didn't see that I am going to die =/

Nice game :D

I have always been drawn to the idea of simultaneous turn-based games. This one is simple, clean, and fun to play. It took me a second to figure out how the cannonballs work, exactly. It also wasn't obvious how I was dying at first (I might be dumb).

But once I got the hang of it, I managed to get up to 30 before getting destroyed. Fun game, and a great entry.

Gamejam Gameboy.png I played it until I understood how everything interacts with each other and then tried to get as far as possible. It didn't motivate me to keep it at longer than 5 minutes though! I love the music and concept! Wouldn't have minded if there was more color to it though. Would love to see someone's insane highscore!

PS: I am aware this is going for a Gameboy artstyle and it does look like it amazingly!

The pixel art's very representative of a Game Boy-esque look, and it fits well with the gameplay! The gameplay reminded me of those rhythm games such as *Crypt of the Necrodancer*, but taking out the rhythm and adding in a turn-based feel. The controls were easy to pick up! The music's brilliant, capturing the tension on the high seas, but I felt, though, it looked too out of place with the pixel art.

In all, this game is another great entry!
