Not really sure on this one. I appreciate the cinematic vibe in between the game play. Definitely seems like a lot of effort was put into the visual and narrative side. I had a lot of trouble with the mechanics though. Moving in the air was the same speed as moving on the ground. The mouse/camera movement was too sensitive. These two factors led me to getting a little seasick while playing. I don't think this kind of control scheme works really well for a 3D platforming game. I did like some of the challenge in it though. Regardless of my criticisms, it's always an accomplishment to get a game submitted for Ludum Dare so thank you!

really enjoyed the dialog but the gameplay was really floaty. which was good i guess because the platform placement was a little sporatic. thanks for making the game.

good job, a lot of effort on cinematic, controls were iffy. not sure if its animation or controls itself. but overall gj

Nice job, I haven't seen a lot of Ludum games with voice acting, cool!

Loved the voice acting, the concept, the story and the 3D effects. This game was a lot of fun to look at :)

Triple-jump was a strange choice, but I found myself getting used to it pretty quickly. I liked the platforming mechanic as well, thought it's very difficult to recover from a missed jump - which is particularly grating when you're 15+ platforms in.

It feels very much like someone implemented the horizontal part of the gravity parabola, but not the vertical part - the more you fall, the slower you move sideways (?) rather than dropping faster. Same effect, but it feels very punishing, especially since this means it can take 30+ seconds to die following a failed jump.

Also, there's a zoom function. Why is there a zoom function? It's very disorienting XD.

Thanks for making this :) no matter any mechanics issues, I enjoyed playing the game.

Loved the story in the game, played it through to the end to see it all. Although I actually almost didn't. I don't know why, but the mouselook sensitivity was really high for me. I could move my mouse a few centimetres and I'd turn around maybe 8 times. Don't know if that's just me though.

@paulhocker @confidant17 @mickxe Thank you for your comments, you are the best @dandala88 Yep, there are some troubles with movement, sure to be better on next ld!:) Thank you for your opinion @avareii I can't say anything more, you just tell us all what we thought, thank you for your sight! @awsumpwner27 Yeah, its better to use fixedUpdate, or lock fps either. Didn't cought it on that version:( Thank you for playing!

I do enjoy a bit of existentialism. I strive to be able to have time to put cinematics in my entries one day. good effort, well done.

I really liked the thoughtful atmosphere. The glassy ground materials and low-gravity jumping felt so nice in first-person. Adding some sort of ethereal or synthesizer effect to the voice acting would have helped capitalize on that feeling. Levels were a bit long -- you definitely need a shortcut for restarting and maybe some faster movement. Great job!

This game is weird. It made me laugh, though. It seems like between all the voice acting and cinematics, there wasn't a lot of time left to create a varied and enjoyable gameplay experience, which is unfortunate since there still isn't a story category. This one'll definitely stick with me, so good job.

Hello, @wizard! Yep, one of our teammates made a big effort into this system, but I think, you should handle it. Good luck! @geojax By the way, you are the first who says, that this control system is feel nice. It is good to hear, thank you for kind words! @quinn-patrick ahahha man, straight to the point! Wish we will manage our time better on next ld

Had fun with the platforming. Cool to see voice acting in the game too :)

lody-giving-teacup 2022-04-20 14:24

The game was really good , but with all games I played , the idea isn't very original , good point on the dialog at the beginning (event if it was too long) , anyways good work !

* Also , the camera movement is too fast ! , I can't move correctly my camera

epeachyband 2022-04-20 20:19

Hello @lody-giving-teacup! Thank you for playing our game! We know about the problem with camera. It happens because we somehow made the movement fps-dependent. In our post-Jam build we added fps limiter and settings menu where you can change sensitivity.
