Great audio, kinda tough to control character, but a nice variety and well put together!
Interesting concept. Unfortunately I couldn't get very far due to what I assume is features not bugs  Regardless, I thought the music was fantastic and the concept of dissolving memories/objects great!
great job :D just on WebGL is it bit lagy
Great game and topic!
Hey, Was a fun game and idea and I like the graphics for it. Did have a slight issue with sticking to sides of things, Think that can just be solved by removing friction in a 2d physics material. Enjoyed playing it though!
Space key doesn't work :(
Really like the theme! But I couldn't get past the first level because I kept having this bug were I would either be unable to move, or the moving fire extinguisher looking platform stopped moving so it wouldn't carry me higher.
I really liked the concept. I'm sad I couldn't make it far to see how the story goes :sob:
My experience was a bit buggy maybe because of the resolution, sometimes my character couldn't move even when I restart the game or I couldn't pass through and jump some objects, but overall it was fun and enjoyable. Good job guys.
I did like this idea, but there were a lot of bugs hindering me from progressing. Also as people have previously mentioned the jumping and movement needs some work!
Good job on the graphics, music and idea! keep it up! <3
PROS: - I really enjoy the art for the game, especially the grandma and the different objects. It's simple, cute, adorable, and looks pleasing on the eye! - While the concept of disappearing/falling platforms in platformers isn't quite new, linking it to a grandma forgetting things is a really unique theme on the take. - Music really set a dark mood which fit surprisingly well for the take on the theme.
CONS: - Most of the cons I had are related to bugs. Sometimes when falling I'd end up getting stuck into the object I dropped on. - Sometimes objects wouldn't reappear after resetting. - I ran into an invisible wall at the part where the painting was moving up and down vertically. - Some of the moving objects would stop moving after resetting. - Sometimes I would spawn slightly in the ground leaving me unable to jump.
I did really like the concept though, and I'd like to give it another try it you guys perhaps get the invisible wall out of the way! Would like to see what the rest of the game brings :D
I love the graphics and animations of the grandma. Music fits in very well  But I encountered some bugs. * When I restarted the game, I couldn't move. * Hover effect of start menu elements are not in right position. * When I jumped on the living room table, I got stuck and couldn't move any longer.
Love the idea of fading memories, very sad. I think I had resolution issues, the control felt a bit clunky and I couldn't get very far, I reached something that looked like a floating fire extinguisher? before the game reset on me.
The mood of it was very pensive, from the concept to the music to the monologue texts. It felt almost mocking when the game tells you to have fun when you start it.
I'm a speed reader, so I'm going to have this complaint about every game: would have liked to be able to click the text to make it instantly show the entire line. Also the cutscene triggered every time you got near an item, but I think it would be more thematic for it to only trigger once—since you're going for the memory angle in addition to helping out the gameplay pace.
Didn't know what I was supposed to do at first because the first jump was a little big but I eventually got used to the physics being floaty. Having the first jump like that was kind of like a tutorial so I think it was a well placed obstacle.
I had issues with the game at the start but the more you play the more fun it becomes. This is a really good game.
@n00b could you elaborate on the start of the game? What was it that was difficult?
@white-rice It wasn't a issue with the game but with me. In particular, I started thinking that it is just a platformer where making precision jumps is a majority of the challenge. I had to rethink how I was playing the game and make more of a focus on where objects were when I couldn't see them. I ended up really enjoying the game after that.
@n00b I see what you mean. Thanks for responding.
Beautiful game! Story got me and it was very moving. I experienced a few bugs where the character would stick to things and be unable to move, but managed to get around it or avoid it. This is a wonderful game. :)
I like the core Idea, and I was prepared for emotions fueled by the story, the nice graphics and the audio.
However, it was hard to get through the game and took many tries due to bugs/issues during the game such as:
- Camera being to high up so you don't really know the layout of the stage ahead (this was the one that made it the hardest to progress) - Getting stuck on the flying fire extinguisher. - The fire extinguisher stopped moving - Getting stuck in other ways.
I like the core idea and I think it could be a really nice emotional journey if you fix these issues so one could concentrate on the main gameplay and the story.
Hope you do a post-jam so I can play it again!
@okamit which level did you get stuck in the most?
I agree with the others that the camera was problematic. The main difficulty in the game was that I couldn't see where I needed to go/jump to next and that's something you definitely want in a platformer. The visual style was relaxing and fairly polished though!
My friends and I considered a similar idea for the gamejam, so it's fascinating to see someone else worked on it! Sadly the game feels a bit clunky for me and I couldn't reach very far, but everything is pretty thoughtful and well done.
