@jeremy-selwyn Hello! I am SO sorry that this happened to you. I must not have tested the game enough! While I am currently at school while I am writing this, as soon as I get home I will attempt to make a web build.

@cloud-studios,its no problem at all! if you get it working that's awesome I'd love to try it.

@jeremy-selwyn Hello! I've gotten the web version up and working!

jeremy-selwyn 2022-04-11 22:12

just played it and its really fun! After a few attempts managed to get a hang of some strategy and beat the game. I like how frantic it was and the theme of rushing to deliver the boxes to the shoppers was great. It was a cool mechanic that the boxes auto aimed onto the shoppers coming in. I had a bit of difficulty at the start since right off the bat there are three shoppers closing in. Thanks for letting me know its working, I had a good time playing it. Sorry It took a while to respond.

@jeremy-selwyn No problem! Thanks for playing!

It's an interesting concept, although the execution has some flaws, the biggest of which is the bugs. More often than not, pressing space just drops an item where it is, and sometimes the player randomly dies without actually colliding with anyone. My other big complaint I suppose would be the lack of a concrete connection to the theme. If we were to suppose that our aim is to "delay" the closing of the store, wouldn't we want to *not* sell the remaining 20 items? It's likely I'm missing something so just correct me if I'm wrong :D

Don't get me wrong though. When the game does work, it can be quite fun. With a bit of polishing and a clearer description, this can be a really enjoyable entry. Good job!

@arihan10 Hi There! I've tried to fix those bugs, but all attempts have been unsuccessful. Also, in regards to the theme, when I was making the game, I thought that the thing that the player was trying to delay was the public's sadness that the store was closing (hence why the player is trying to appease customers as fast as possible, to make them happy.) But this is never actually expressed in the game, which is my bad. I will have to update the game description later today! Thank you so much for playing! I will also have to check out your game!

This is a really cool concept of for a game. However, I think the game would be much better without auto-aiming, as the boxes moved kinda weirdly. Then i realized you could stand at an edge and continually press space and down to automatically fire without risk of losing. Once you fix the auto-aiming, this would be a good game, I liked the music and concept.

Fun little game! :) It took me a few tries to figure out how to control the getting and throwing of the boxes. But when I got it, I had fun running around while avoiding the customers!

Because the boxes spawn a little above the player's head, when you get a box from the top wall, the box will get stuck in the wall. When playing for the first time, it was not clear to me why the box is not moving then. From te bottom wall however, you don't have this problem. So in the end I found a winning (/cheating) strategy: you can just stand near the bottom wall and alternate between the down arrow key and space bar  Maybe you could add a restriction on how many boxes you can get from a piece of wall, forcing the player to move around?

I found it a bit surprising that the heap of boxes that I created this way would (only) fly to the next customer when I threw another box.

The music is really cute and fitting, but since you didn't make it yourself, I think you should opt out of the Audio category.

Nice job! I liked the look. It felt like an old Atari game. It did feel like the store was built on an ice rink. I was sliding all over the place. Sometimes the package went through the customers. It took me a few tries before I realized that the edges of the map were shelves. I thought I was getting the package from the guy in the bottom left corner:) I did have fun playing though.

@itskdog thanks for playing! I may have messed up a bit on the controls, and I should have done a better job on the shelf art. Also sorry about that bug, I'm not sure how to fix it sadly. Thanks again for playing!

@burningapparatus this game was originally going to have aiming, but I thought it would be too hard with it. Also, I only found that you could cheat AFTER publishing. Sorry!
