Wow this was interesting :) I love how we play bass when we click, and the graphics are beaaautiful. This game's aesthetics are very creative and lovely! After a lot of people surround the disco ball, game goes crazy though :D

Really needed a way to lose though.

Could have done with a way to keep the character on the screen. Perhaps make the camera follow the character and make the spawns relative to the character, or put in walls to prevent the player from moving off screen, or made the screen wrap around similar to the old asteroids game. Each of these are fairly easy to implement. I used Godot for my entry as well, I'd be happy to show you how to do those if you want.

Regardless, it was a stylish and enjoyable entry. Well done!

I was actually going to do most of what you mentioned but I lost a lot of time on beats per minute detection and in the end, I couldn't do anything about it.
