Very charming game with some interesting mechanics and themes. I like it a lot :)
Not only did I get to play another Nanna game, it *also* had stats management, voice acting, and catchy music? These games just keep getting better and better! Well done, this was a real treat to play.
Your games are getting better and better. And, because of the unified theme and art-style they really look like a parts of much grander story. I enjoyed how there are more options gameplay wise, some things like resource management are a little questionable (as at some point I started to spam Beg mechanic in the city), but all of these are nice touches. And I like that the game is, as usual, very minimalistic in it's explanations, and you have to figure out everything on your own. Also, the music this time was just fantastic.
I really think that we need some kind of Nanna stories Remaster, because it would look just fantastic combined together with a bit more polish and enhanced scenes. Like, for example, the ending here shows some jam's time limitation.
I agree with previous comments, your games are getting better each time! Good job, and I hope you'll find time to rate some games so you can be rated enough to have final notes!
I haven't played any of the other Nanna games, but had no issue following along. It's short, but still a charming game. The mood the music sets is nice. It might help to have some indicators for how much hunger/hope/humility changes. Like a number floating off. At first I didn't realize that working had reduced hunger. Otherwise the game seemed to work as intended. Good job!
Really good game, felt like poetry for me. Unexpected controls to be honest but felt a roguelike vibe in this.
I dont know if there is a way no complete this game without getting hunger, at some point i had no food and just got hunger and get up again.
Will play the other Nanna games after this! Good luck!
@elijah-wickerham @peace-of-cake-games @lesinvisible @lereveur @thecritterscove @ilbini Thank you all for your feedback. Apologies for the late reply. I got involved with some things at work which took longer than I thought.
@peace-of-cake-games as always your feedback is encouraging. I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
@lesinvisible yes, I was hoping that the town was spam-proof, but apparently it isn't. So be it. At least you didn't go crazy with ants this time, eh? As for a combined 3-in-1 game, I have toyed with the idea. Perhaps someday. I don't want to make a false promise, however. Often, I tell myself I will make a post-jam version, and I end up regretting it. We'll see.
@lereveur thank you for the compliment. It seems we won't get enough ratings this time. So be it. They are usually disappointing anyway.
@thecritterscove yes, we designed it so that it works as a stand-alone game as well. Your idea about number indicators is a good one. I think it would improve the game significantly.
@ilbini that is perhaps one of the nicest comments we've ever gotten — I am a big fan of poetry and literature. A lot of it comes from @genie's fantastic artwork — it is instrumental to the overall feel of the game. As for hunger, there may be a way to avoid collapsing if you work hard enough in the town. But personally I think she is all the more adorable when she falls .
