Great work! You get a lot of play time out of your mechanics, however its held back by repeated events. Maybe reduce the trip duration to accommodate the refined list of events. Beautiful art and atmosphere as well!
Nice entry!
The inspiration from Oregon Trail, etc. definitely comes through. It was nice to be able to solve problems in different ways --- diplomatically, or with weapons, or with bribes.
I did feel like a lot of the game came down to random chance for your encounters. Sometimes, you just never got any opportunity to earn salvage for several turns. Other times, that happens with fuel. I invested almost all my resources in mining, but eventually ran out on jump 26.
The art is great, especially for the spacecraft. The UI is pretty barebones but gets the job done.
A larger set of events would definitely add to the replay value, and maybe other ways to specialize ships that play on different roles in the fleet.
Well done team, especially for what appears to be all of your first Ludum Dare!
Pretty good game overall! I found myself wanting to play "just one more turn" many times, good job creating that feeling.
Some typos I noticed: Permise->Premise preform -> perform
other notes: It would be nice to have a better defined objective, I didn't really know why I was doing what I was doing. Clicking on a ship should show its name so that I have a reference point when the dialogs pop up each turn. I didn't see any reason to upgrade one ship over another and just went for whichever one had the cheapest upgrade. If there's a difference it would be nice to have it called out. Sometimes I just randomly lost a ship and it wasn't clear to me why that happened or what I can do to prevent it. It's really difficult to maintain enough scrap and fuel for everything needed. I wonder if you could add a way to replace a lost ship? Thanks for making the game and sharing it, with some additional polish I think you've got something pretty solid here!

Fun character art and space ships! I ran out of fuel, but like to think my fleet did its best : )
Cool! I love the this style of game (I have hundreds of hours in FTL). The ship design is great. I think as you mentioned, the biggest thing this needs is more content, but I think this has really good presentation value for the time available in the jam. A couple other little quality-of-life changes on the UI might be helpful. For example, I couldn't see anywhere where the individual ships were labeld (mining ship, refueling ship, etc), and I had to piece that together based on communications on certain events. But yeah, I think with some more content this could definitely be a really neat roguelike experience!
The art was gorgeous, but I felt that the gameplay left a little to be desired. I wasn't sure which of my ships was which, so tracking what was going on was really difficult, and I spent all of my resources on mining upgrades without seeing much gain in efficiency or a way to recoup those resources later. All of that said, I was really pleasantly surprised by the writing and the amount of events in the game. This was an interesting idea that I think just needed a little more support mechanically to really shine. Nice work, though! (And again, *gorgeous.*)
Fun narrative game. Looks like you built a good system for a game, but probably needed some more time to add some interesting stuff and balance it out. I spent all my resources before the first jump and was surprised that it was never replenished and didn't seem to be a problem either.
Really loved the graphics and the warping animation. Good bones here just need some more interesting mechanics and scenarios.
Well done bro!I honestly like you sense and concept!
Really fun, the graphism is good :) Thank you for your game
Pretty interesting and fun! I would have liked maybe more scenarios to showcase the effects of upgrading and to explore the other characters a little more, but I'd say this is pretty good for a game jam! I didn't really know which ship to focus on and ended up trying to upgrade all of them. I still had fun exploring though.
I had fun trying different strategies. After playing a few times I made it to the 85th jump by letting most of my ships fall to reduce fuel costs, but in the end my last ship mutinied.
It took a bit to figure out the names of the ships and I'm not sure if there is a way to win, but overall well done.
I love your characters!
