I really like the style used for the player character here.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → HellScape

I really like the style used for the player character here.
The style was nice, the background was a bit too busy for the eyes especially in the first level. overall a fun game
The jumping was a little bit janky when you get caught on the edge of platform but enjoyed the general platforming. Music was catchy.
Nice platformer good graphics and really liked the music. I miss being able to be able to jump while walking ( holding D and then W to jump ). Would have been nice with some basic sound effects on jump and taking damage.
The menu looks awesome. It is a bit of a contrast to the level ( which is not bad by either but the menu is way better )
Otherwise nice game. Runs well
Not bad 2d platformer, but there is no target in the game, also sometimes you just don't now where you have to go, and I didn't get where was the "Stuck in the loop" theme there. Except for all of the above, it's pretty cool game.
thought the music fit the vibe perfectly, I'm sure you're aware of this bug but when you're on the edge of the platform, jumping doesn't work.
I really liked how upgrades were handled, in a very typical metroid-vania manner, it all seemed smooth, and the music was not bad from what I remember (It has been a few days since I played this, I just am leaving this feedback now since I forgot to before). I just felt that, upon death, the map was not very fun to trudge through again, especially since movement felt clunky and thus it was easy to lose a heart or two from otherwise avoidable spikes. I did like the punching animation, the animations as a whole were put together well. I don't see where the theme is really being worked in here, I know you mention the levels are spiral, and I suppose many parts did seem quite twisted up, but as a whole the level design didn't seem all that out of the ordinary, but at least there was some justification. I think with the addition of some weaker enemies and ways of regaining health scattered here and there, it would help keep the gameplay more interesting, as in my opinion in its current state it gets quite boring. That doesn't mean this isn't a good foundation for a metroidvania though. You should play and rate some more games before the jam is finished, there is still time.
it is a good game, but the art looks out of place, it is not the same style all throughout the level, I really could not figure out what to do, maybe add a how-to section. The audio is good, but I feel like you should've addded some sound effects, but, that is fine. Also, the collisions are not the best, I often got stuck and had to go down, the looping music was fine, but it could've been better. Lastly, you should get more feedback if you die or touch a spike. Good job with the game and bye
Keep up the good work! Nicely done with good visuals, audio and game design element.
