I had some issues on the webgl version, couldn't figure out how to use the pic axe (it kept freezing) so couldn't really rate very well. Seems like a neat idea tho

I didn't really like the mix of pixel art and normal 2d sprites imo it feels kinda idk how to describe it weird I think if you had stuck to one art direction the overall graphics of the game would've been better they are nonetheless nice graphics though, and the gameplay feels good too it just lacks a bit of depth that drives the player to keep playing it anyways good job with your entry a solid entry
I like the idea and the gameplay was fun. I did have a bit of a hard time figuring out how it connected to the theme tho
@feiko The "Pixel Art" wasn't really wanted, it is more because it is technically hard to solve to flatten it out. But with more time I would absolutely prefer to do it!
I had some problems with the webgl version on how to use the pickaxe. There were some graphics missing also, with a pink layer. The gameplay itself is fun, but the timer is just too fast.
I like the idea! I had fun once I figured out what was going on - it took me a while to realize I had to find a pickaxe at the beginning. I almost quit because I thought the game was broken
Congrats on your submission! It was a cool idea, although I do wish there were some more ways to extend the time, maybe some kind of consumable that you could stock up for a big run. Also, I think it would really benefit from an auto mining with holding down the mouse button, for acessibility reasons. I did encounter a bug where I dug to fast and ended up stuck on the ground.

Nice game, congratulations
I really liked the concept and I actually think that with the never ending digging and clicking like a mad man it fits the theme well. I found the art style cute as well, the only thing distracting in it is the seams popping in between the areas that you can dig. Gameplay wise I think it is okay, the movement with keyboard, especially jumping can be clunky sometimes, for example when you get stuck on small pieces of remaining terrain and you quickly have to adjust - but this could entirely be me :P . Overall I liked the game, the concept and execution, it just needs some polish. Great submission :)
@balazs-takacs Thanks for your great feedback! The ugly seams between the chunks are a shader problem, for that I didn't had time to fix it. But I definetly have to do something about it! Thanks!
Thank you, I enjoyed playing
Cool idea for a game, but I felt that the "stuck in a loop" theme was an afterthought and it was just tacked on top of the digging. Also the main character's shape should be simpler and 1:1 with its collider so that you can see exactly where it gets stuck, and even better if it was a ball or something so that it would slide and not get stuck in a single ground pixel which becomes kind of frustrating. I didn't play it long enough, but some new mechanics as you progress would be a welcome addition to the game.
@exofrenon Thanks for your suggestions! This is probably the solution for the sidewart digging! It is always a bit messy and annoying to dig sidewarts.
Chmm, that game is really fun, good for you :). Averagly fit into the theme.. Average art design, next time will be better. Overall that game is good, good job.
One last note: I always write down honest review, because everybody need that, not just nice craps with some bullshit, but sometime I will aperceite very good games. So if this review insult you, but use it well :) Anyway every game is counting so :)
This was really fun (5 stars for that) and pretty impressive for a jam game. Really complex and fleshed out well done!
Cool idea, this type of game has a lot of potential for unique gameplay ideas. It's kind of barebones now as a simple race to the checkpoints but it' a good foundation for a more fleshed out game.
My biggest gripe is the awkwardness of the digging. I think either the dig cursor needs to be bigger, or the physics a little more forgiving because it was frustrating having to click the same area multiple times to try and get all the little leftover pieces that prevented me from moving. I think you could fix this by finding loose pieces of dirt that are smaller than 1/3rd (or some other size) of the cursor, and make them fall with gravity when colliding with the character. Something like this would allow for smoother gameplay and make the player more confident that they can freely move in any direction without getting stuck and running out of time.
Overall great job for 72 hours of development
