This is a WHOLE game. Holy crap! I just beat it. I'm not sure if this is a limitation of PICO-8 or not, but my character was able to walk below the screen, which made for some panicky movements. Other than that- fantastic. The art is uniform, the gameplay is straightforward, it's got the whole loop concept in there with the planet rotating and walking over it again and again. This is one of the best I've played so far! I think your description is killing you- this game would do SO well to have some GIFs in your description, and maybe some formatting.

Just beat the game! Super compelling graphics! The mining part feels just as good as minecraft. Sometimes the collision goes weird, when you are trying to go through a single grid between two entities. It would be better if you could add more items to collect and make the map generation more controlled in the later part of the game. To me, currently I feel like the final upgrading phase is a little bit tedious, and there are amethyst everywhere which makes it super hard to find stone and copper.

Had fun playing this! it is a perfect fit for the theme of this LD. really enjoyed the crafting aspect
I can imagine a co-op mode in the future or other creatures on the planet that have to run away from the scorching sun!
overall great job!
Fun little crafting game.
One issue I ran into was at one point I only needed one copper to finish something, but it didn't spawn any copper at all for ages, not sure if I just got unlucky or if that's a bug.

This was a great idea. It took me a long time to repair the ship but the push of the day/night cycle made it compelling. A really nice an cohesive experience with art that all went really well together. Some nice music would make the lulls while waiting for the resource you need more enjoyable.
@princesschoochoo I think you got unlucky right here. Just a reminder that to make copper, you need to wait for the elements to burn and turn into other elements. Glad you enjoyed it! :D
@jonah thanks! A co-op mode in a post jam version could be very fun! I've always loved co-op games!
@igaryhe thanks for the feedback!
@nerdytopic Thanks a lot for the kind words! :D I added some screenshots right before the deadline, unfortunately we couldn't make any GIFs

The interpretation of the theme is amazing, congrats! The game is very fun and engaging too!
I think I found a bug: The last ship requires but doesn't spend the 30 coal and 20 amethist.
The title screen is pretty too :)
This game is short but perfect concept. Great work!!
