A cool game, but after I made it through the 20 second gauntlet of fireballs and after surviving the saw blades, I got frustrated when I died from falling off the world's edge and realized that I'm gonna have to do all that again
With that aside, the game is decent and worth trying
For a first game jam, not bad at all. Keep it up

I would have loved to be able to restart at the room where I died. That room with the fireballs was the bane of my existence.

I think some levels were a bit long, so it made kind of frustrating having to restart from the beginning every time, they could use some checkpoints in my opinion.
Other than that, I liked the pixel art animations, keep it up ^^
Hey, played your game. I got stuck on this level with timer "20:00", was I supposed to survive those 20 seconds? Because the timer didn't start for me. And I just kept dying not knowing what to do next. Also I relate to the code mess thing, I did my game not really knowing the basics of coding :)
Interesting concept and a nice little game for a first jam.
I was fighting with the movement and got stuck in walls a few times, but rather than that it worked out. Also i didn't play through the whole game cuz i got stuck in the part after the 20:00 timer.
The game combined with the art make up for a decent entry. Good job! ✌️

I made it to the fire ball room but it was too hard, had to give up. would have liked to see the rest of the game.
The guy keeping his hands in his pockets while dodging fireballs and jumping over pits is a definite mood. Agree with some of the earlier comments about the difficulty and a very long way after the post-timer room without checkpoints, but the fundamentals are solid. Nice work :)
