I don't know whats going on?

Cool idea.

One thing I'd say is that the controls get a bit confusing when you're on the top part of the globe. It might be better to keep the character still and rotate the world. (Might be thematic too, the world revolves around you )

Fun little game, got to level 6 before the chaos became too much

I got to level 6. Level 5 is almost too hard - 6 is impossible. by middle of level 3 I began to understand the game - so great on balance! You did a great job keeping the action alive in this game! I feel that with some proper balancing (and graphics), that your idea was very good and simple enough to keep people entertained!

Nice idea for the theme, i enjoyed your game. It gets chaotic as you level up and its fun trying to keep a handle on the warring nations. I enjoyed it, would have liked some sound. Good job.

Nice idea, get's crazy starting from level 5. I got to level 6, but died quickly.

I enjoyed playing the game, though I think I might have enjoyed it even more had the controls been more forgiving; the radius around each state seemed a little small and I often found myself running past it by accident. The difficult also ramped up a bit unevenly - it seemed like levels 1 - 3 were quite easy, then level 4 was a hard challenge and level 5 seemed mostly impossible (...and then I got to level 6 where I just figured I'd watch the nukes go around) I liked the setting a lot - I've always wanted to be a lizard working for the NWO and the nukes and the twitter logos were somehow both quite cute as they travelled on their little arcs.

Fun mechanic.

Whenever a dialog window pops up it shifts the screen (I assume because of using space and arrow keys as controls?)

It could be a bit smoother if the focus radius on the cities was a little larger and if you didn't need to hit space in the same city twice in a row: to end a dispute there and then again to focus on it.

At first I wasn't sure if my actions had worked or not. But I eventually noticed with the experience bar that it did. Maybe some extra indicator would have been helpful. I like the simplicity of it and it does cover a bigger topic within the theme. Nice job on that!

I like the idea and the message behind your game, it's pretty clean and original. A bit of audio would have been nice to guide the user trough his actions, because it's a bit confusing in the begining. Good job

Has anyone beaten six? I think this is really fun but I wonder if it's possible.

herzig 2020-04-25 11:16

@mvanbaalen It get's pretty much impossible in level six (there actually isn't really a properly defined level 7). I could say something like that this was on purpose and part of the story like the world is going down anyway, but truth is I didn't have time to properly balance and add more levels. The original idea was to gain some power-ups when levelling like a global ceasefire for some duration or install a twitter bot to help you in managing all the mean tweets, but that didn't really work out in time.
