The game have some flaws, but, the ideia can be expanded. Rewarding exploration, maybe new items/guns. This can became a very good game! Congratz on the first jam!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → APawcalypse

The core mechanics in the context of a game jam I think are sufficient. I'd love to see what this title becomes with a little more polish and I hope you work on this beyond the Ludum Dare! Very well done!
Good Idea and overall a fun game. It easier if you made it so the gun fired by holding down the mouse button, instead of clicking.
Nice job!
I encountered a glitch where when i enter the house i am outside, and when a go outside i am at home.Screenshot_313.pngScreenshot_314.png
Would be great to see more guns, different mobs and maybe upgrades for your dog. Great artwork and music! Keep it up!
Hi guys we are aware of that glitch but we are not sure if it is fair to fix it in the voting stage.
and I survived 4 days. I will try to break my record. Good game, I love this graphic and doggo :)
Could be an interesting idea for an arcade game, just needs polish. By the way, is there a goal? I played for 2 days but I don't remember anything about what changes the next day, or for how many days do I have to survive, etc. Some goal and feeling of progression would be great.
Smaller issues: - Doggo shouldn't block my bullet. And doggo was hard to control, sometimes it just stayed there instead of attacking the target. Maybe a collider issue. - Most of the time I just spammed all me bullets on zombies and waited to get some bullets. In this kind of gameplay a machine gun would be better, with "hold to fire" interaction. Hmm, and reloading could be called "overheating". - The instant and radical change of music type, speed, etc was a bit annoying for me.
Anyway, it has some potential! :)
Good gameplay feeling. The dog mechanic is interesting and the cube art of the dog and character are awesome. Reloading is not intuitive at first (no sound or animation) but you get used to it.
Each day zombies become stronger: deal more damage, have higher HP and are faster. For now the end goal is just survive as long as you can but in the long run we will add more weapons, crafting, exploration, upgrading doggo and yourself aswell as possible base upgrades. Thank you all for suggestions and reports on bugs. And yeah we kind of planned out this whole thing wrong and didn't leave any time for polish so sorry about that :sob:.
I really like the voxel look. Gameplay-wise, I'd have preferred that either muniton is endless or keeping the mouse pressed still shoots (it did not for me)
I dig the look of this game a lot and I think the core loop of killing zombies but then cooking up there meat while killing more zombies is super fun. There were a few things that kinda threw me off tho, reloading felt really weird since there wasn't any animation or any sort of noise for it happening. Along with that the dog was pretty up or down with being useful, sometimes he would attack zombies and other times he would just go vibe out. The music for in the house was an absolute bop tho! Great job!
I would like more if you could run a little faster in a period of time, the graphics are nice and the dog is sometimes behind the zombies, sometimes it was difficult to cook and you died as the day passed. zombiez.jpg
