It felt a lot like a tower defense game to me. I usually enjoy these kinds of games, but the slow reload speed made it hard to consistently survive for a long time. I think it's a great base to add some more mechanics on to if you feel like taking it further!:)
A good entry for your second ludum dare! At first I thought I couldn't change weapons but realized that you had to scroll up for the shotgun and scroll down for the rifle. Also a way to quit back to the menu (or just out of the game) while playing would be a nice addition. Apart from those two things it was still a fun experience! Great work!
Glad to see you participating in another Ludum Dare!
This game has a lot of solid mechanics. The player movement and shooting both work pretty well. The guns both seemed to have different tradeoffs--I wasn't able to hit far away enemies with the shotgun.
I did think the game was potentially unbalanaced--I was never able to survive long enough to buy anything. This is probably mostly due to the long reload animation. I couldn't figure out a way to balance shooting and reloading in a way that I wouldn't be overwhelmed.
In any case, the only real concrete piece of feedback I have is that when you open the shop you might want to have the game pause. The first time I opened the shop I was reading the various things to see what I could do, and then a bunch of enemies showed up that I was completely unprepared for.
There is one bug: when you start a new round, no enemies spawn in. I have to close and repoen the game to get it to work.
Overall, solid entry.

@honey-pony Thanks for the feedback! I added a shotgun damage drop-off on purpose to make it feel more like a shotgun. I also made other damage fades, sound fades, and enemy increases, mainly to use the math I just learned on algebra
After the jam, I see that the reload animations were too long. I guess that's what happens when I don't have anyone to play my game  At least now I know how the guns should feel now.
And yeah, I noticed that bug after I submitted the project. It was fine before, but when I showed my parents the game I saw it. I guess I accidentally changed something and didn't notice. Oh well!
I'm super happy to participate in this Ludum Dare. I feel like I improved a lot since the last Ludum Dare, and I was able to see that change myself in this jam. It's a nice feeling to actually see yourself improve :)
@banksho Hi there, interesting wave based shooter :) Personally I found it pretty hard lol... Reload times felt long to the point where I just couldn't prevent zombies from reaching the damsel. Agree with @honey-pony about the shop pause, I think that would help the pacing a bit and noticed the same bug on restart :)
I thought this game was pretty good, I liked the graphics and the gunplay! It was hard but a challenge is always good, I liked figuring out the best setup for how to go about doing it! I never managed to get sudden death but I tried hard! Overall quite solid game, a few glitches here and there like the re-spawning not working but other than that enjoyable!
Good entry. For some reason if I restart the level, the enemies won't spawn anymore. Otherwise solid game.
