It feels like it could be a fun rpg. It starts off so slow though. The way that enemies respawn mean that you can't really get anywhere until you can deal enough damage to kill them faster than they respawn (unless you want to damage boost through, but then you just end up underleveled for everything after that). It's a very grindy game, though I understand that animations and enemy types could give variety in the future.
i died and i didnt feel like trying again
(1) its interesting that you tie jump height to the RPG mechanics. i dont know many games that do that, and that could be an interesting way to gate off high-level areas.
(2) the movement was slow and felt really janky, mostly because the run animation didn't fit his movement speed.
(3) it was really grindy. it took me like 7 levels just to be able to 1-shot the first slime enemies.
(4) the enemies spawn way too many at a time. the nidoran enemies had an entire flock by the time i got to them, and i was too overwhelmed to be able to figure out their movesets completely.
(5) I forgot what strength and dexterity did. a tooltip would have been nice
(6) the slimes looked cute and cuddly :3
(7) i hated having to fetch my XP, especially when they fall into the nidoran pit below. automatically granting XP upon killing an enemy would have been much preferred
Overall, had potential, but I think the execution could use a lot of improvements.
