The itch.io page shows error 404(i think that your page is not public)

brokenmirrormedia 2019-10-08 05:04

I'm getting a 404 on your itch.io page. Let me know when you fix it, I wanted to build an escape the room game myself so I'm curious how yours turned out!

jerripo 2019-10-08 05:30

404 on your link! : ( looking forward to playing when its up

drjeebus 2019-10-08 05:56

What they said^

inky 2019-10-08 06:07

Awh, like the above, 404 error. @ me if you fix it though, I want to try and play!

andrewpatton 2019-10-08 09:35

@inky @yokuday @brokenmirrormedia @jerripo @drjeebus Thanks for the heads-up! I've updated the page now. First time using itch so didn't realise I had to make the draft public.

inky 2019-10-08 19:03

Hey thanks!! So I played, and maybe it's just me, but I couldn't get the objects I picked up to interact with anything? I was pressing the numbers for the slots and clicking, but nothing happened. Let me know if it's just me, or a bug! I was looking around the room and I ~feel~ like I know how to get that closet open.

Also, cool art! Did you use magicavoxel by chance?

drunkardwolf 2019-10-08 19:32

no good.

andrewpatton 2019-10-09 12:06

@inky for the slots, you need to put the cubes in (in the right order). If you pick up a cube, choose it from your hotbar with 1-5 then you *should* be able to place it in one of the slots. And yes, first time using MagicaVoxel!

andrewpatton 2019-10-09 18:50

@drunkardwolf better than a Overland rehash <3

drunkardwolf 2019-10-09 20:50

@andrewpatton :( no need for harsh words, thought we were friends

Looks like a nice quest, but I couldn't solve a code for the safe. Any hint will be appreciated =) Also, I got 3 keys (probably duplicated) is it a bug or a feature?

greendinogames 2019-10-15 21:19

Nice game! I had a bit of trouble to find out how to use the items, because there was no feetback, whats currently selected. I would suggest to highlight the current item or show the slot number. Otherwise great game! I liked the idea and artwork :) Good job!

andrewpatton 2019-10-16 15:32

@stark hint for the safe: Turn out the lights :) as for duplicate keys, known bug! Currently working on a fixed version of it

@greendinogames completely agree. I rushed hotbar in and didn't really do anything useful with it

Thanks for the comments!

stark 2019-10-16 15:56

@andrewpatton, Thanks, successfully escaped!

brokenmirrormedia 2019-10-29 00:47

I'm glad I was able to come back to this game in time to review it! I really enjoy room escape games and this was a pretty good one. I think that the movement speed was a bit slow but it didn't really matter in such a small room, and I broke the item bar one time by picking up all the blocks so I couldn't tell which I was selecting. Other than that, great work!

andrewpatton 2019-10-30 00:03

@brokenmirrormedia completely agree on both points, glad you enjoyed it though!
