Not sure if there was range based on weapon, for the bat and katana I thought they'd connect a little further than what was needed.

Nice beat em up. The character style looked familiar to me, from Newgrounds? Only complaints I had are that the game over comes pretty abruptly (very common for jams anyway) and that the game is a little slow paced.

It's a fun game for the timeframe it was made in. I think the controls for PC are a little strange, but that's only because I played on a laptop with the windows button right next to the "z" key, so it was constantly unfocusing. Also, I'm not sure if the blocking has a limit, but it seems like I was able to block forever, essentially. It was pretty fun though, and I'm glad you finished your game! ;)

It was fun to hit and get hit a lot, haha. Well done!

Never would have thought of a beat 'em up but it works. The blend of 2D and 3D is fairly well exectued and the gameplay is surprisingly fun, albeit repititious. Would have liked to see a less forgiving block. I can block forever and time my hits with the bat to almost completely avoid damage.

I love how the attacks have different movements if you attack multiple times. The rain and 3D background is a nice touch. The only thing is the characters become really blended in with the background because of how dark it is and they're also wearing black clothing. Maybe have the protagonist have a brighter costume to make them stand out.

2.5D was really cool. Liked the music a lot also! I thought I would be able to just spam the attacking but eventually I saw the need to block haha

Fun little game! I got to about 1600 but I'm sure you could go on for pretty much forever by blocking. One thing that was a little bit difficult was when the enemies would lump up and stand on top of each other, making it pretty much impossible to perfectly time the blocks. The fun part about this game is timing your attacks and blocks, so maybe it would be worth trying to make sure that enemies always slightly repel each other to prevent enemy stacking, which kind of takes away from the fun. Overall it's a solid entry
