this game is actually fun to play , like no kidding lol

this game is cool, some more polish and you could publish it on steam some critics: the round time is to long at the beginning but all in all it was fun to play

I love this game! This is actually quite addicting!

amastryukov 2019-10-08 15:19

The gameplay is compelling but it is a bit too difficult to truly understand what you are doing. The entire time I was playing I felt at the mercy of the market with no way to actually "game" it, just randomly buying stuff I could afford and selling it. The inability to set the sell price was especially frustrating.

Either way, the game was fun to play. The UI looks very professional but I feel like the UX needs a bit more work - checkmark filters are great and all but it feels like there is a better way to organize the screen than just have everything in one little window, especially in a bidding game.

it looks great! Little feedback: if i am waiting on last second to buy something and scrollbar jump up or down because the list update - i want to scream in that moment :D

This game has potential! I actually played for more than 20 minutes, which is good for a jam game! The game lacks some UI/UX (maybe the possibility to sort the items by price?), but the modd is nice, I liked the music. Also, sometimes, I found myself just waiting for the auction to finish, it may be a little bit too long. Overall, nice game, keep up the good work!

Pretty cool game. I think the UI is a little small and hard to read. The first round is kind of long and I felt like i was waiting around too much. Looks and feels very nice though. Great job!

The background and UI of the game perfectly conveys the feel of an actual auction house. Player feedback, such as the status of a bid on an item, is also well conveyed. Speaking about items, there was an impressive amount of them seen in the game given the time constraints of the jam. If you were to improve upon this, I would suggest maybe providing the players who aren't familiar with how an auction house works with a couple tips in the beginning as I personally was a bit lost at first trying to figure out what to do. Exceptional entry to this Ludum Dare!

thanks all for awesome feedback's

@amastryukov thanks for your feedback ,there is no set sell price because it was causing problems that i couldnt fix in time for the jam

@niarkou thanks , i tried many time periods for the rounds and it all felt a bit off but im still trying to balance it out

@kyle-bowman if you play it on itch page for some reason scale is small but if you download it from the page you can control the scale and resolution

@saltfactory-studio thanks , its my first game jam i was focusing to finish the game before running out of time and i ended up forgetting the basic important stuff like adding a tutorial.

@mira thanks for your feedback , thats why there is checkmark filters

Very relaxing game, love the calm mood and mmo rpg feel. Fits with the theme quite well also. Although I wasn't completely sure what the best deals are, could have some indicators for high or low prices instead of just buying everything you can.

oakwarrior 2019-10-09 17:21

Hahaha I'm getting massive Diablo 3 flashbacks :D Cool idea though, I liked it, can imagine that this can turn into a massive timesink :P

huntrox 2019-10-09 18:48

@shadowhaxz0r unfortunately didn't have much time to make tutorials or instructions which is made players lost in the game

so about the deals always aim for rare/fancy items with less time so you can buy them as cheap as possible and sell them again with high time which is high chance for more profit of course at the beginning all what you can do is buying basic/rare

@oakwarrior thanks . glad to hear people enjoying my game i love AH in mmo rpg games i enjoy make mony through AH and spenting my time infront of Auctioner

Nice game! I spent quite a bit of time at the auction houses of a certain game so when I saw this I just had to try it. Perhaps a speed toggle/fast mode would be a good idea as the game has some moments of downtime, especially in the start.

Overall a good game! The process of evaluating and bidding on items and then flipping them was quite fun. I thought that it was pretty funny that you are stuck paying back your loan for all time. Similar to what other people are saying I did struggle some with the UI (particularly the items list moving just as I was about to bid on something).

Two things I would like to note: * I almost didn't play this game! I saw that there was only a Windows link on the page and was about to go back to the list, but fortunately I saw the note that alluded to downloading the game. It might be a good idea to add a second link to the itch.io page but with the web platform. I can only imagine other people have passed over this game for that reason. * There seems to be a bug where if you don't adjust the list time it will use the duration of the previous list time but the cost of the current list time (which since you didn't adjust it will be the one for the 1:00 list time).

ryano 2019-10-11 21:16

Brings back memories of playing wow and trying to snipe auctions at the last moment haha. Good job. As others have mentioned the only annoyance I had was the list jumping at in-opportune moments. Thanks for the fun!

huntrox 2019-10-11 21:27

@$162477 thanks for the great feedback i didnt notice that i will fix it and ill improve the UI/Ux thanks for web page information it will help a lot

@ryano thanks for your feedback the list is jumping because when item time up the list will update and thats why will fix it thanks
