Nice game, reminds me of A Dark Room. It could use some sort of tutorial, or hints, at the beginning.

sky-coding 2018-12-03 06:30

I couldn't figure the game out :(

secretmapper 2018-12-03 06:32

Nice incremental game (y)

nate-wec 2018-12-03 06:33

A game that could be MASSIVELY improved by some graphics in the blue space. A little over head view of my tripe and how there doing. The base game play loop is alright but needs some PUNCH to the action, I didn't really notice my turns progressing or my actions happening. Add these things, boom! 100% better. But as it is right now it's ok, but lots of room for improvement. (I realize time restraints prevented these, but if you pursue the game further I hope you add these in!)

imer 2018-12-03 06:56

That was actually quite enjoyable

The sacrifice rng gets quite harsh the further you get though it seems

timeshapers 2018-12-03 07:02

@nate-wec Thank you for your feedback. I had action results and icons as my last two items on my todo list, but I just couldn't make it happen in the time-constraint. And while I added a lot of content, it definitely lacked things on the more interesting side.

jannick-larsen 2018-12-03 07:45

i like the turn based idea. kind of difficult to get to know, and a lag of sound :)

james-leib 2018-12-03 09:53

Nice game. I think the middle could have been filled with some pictures to represent the items you have. 3 pictures of an apple at the start for example.

timeshapers 2018-12-03 10:00

@james-leib I ran out of time before I managed to add any kind of graphics, I did the bare minimum that my game required.

james-leib 2018-12-03 10:01

Yeah that makes sense it was just a suggestion for the future. The game was still fun without them :)

anfaas1618 2018-12-03 10:53

i cant make commit in your source i want to commit some more features

timeshapers 2018-12-03 11:09

@anfaas1618 make a clone, commit there? Or make a pull request.

slizzben 2018-12-03 11:34

Nice idea, good job.

shendev 2018-12-03 12:26

Took me a while to realize what was happening but after that I had a fun time playing it. It's a pitty you didn't have time for the graphics but is enjoyable nevertheless! Nice theme implementation :)

vinay-rao 2018-12-03 14:08

Interesting game. Could quite easily expand upon this one I'd wager, yeah? More events, more options, more upgrades.

Tack on a few art assets and you have yourself a nice little survival game.

Wouldn't hurt if there was a way to see what upgrades do after they're collected.

andrea 2018-12-03 22:29

Nice job with the game! I just wish the graphics were just a little more thought of, but some of my fav incrementals are even simpler so it's not really about adding drawings or anything, just filling the blanks :p Well done!

adventureislands 2018-12-03 23:30

Survived 41 turns! Really enjoyed this game. It's too bad there wasn't graphics, but the game was fun regardless.

seed42 2018-12-05 08:14

really liked the game

some visual feedback would have been nice though (maybe some icons for the resources, upgrades and so on)

lizouille 2018-12-05 11:05

Nice game! I really enjoyed playing it. Maybe it is a little bit too randomized, but it's fun anyway. Good job!

geckoo1337 2018-12-16 15:40

Nice use of the Unity UI. I don't understand all features or rules of your project, but it fits with the theme as good as possible. If you could add some graphics and sounds, I think that it could be better. Thank you ++

Thank you for playing my game. This is by far my lowest rated game, but I'm still happy I made it. I wanted to share how I got to making it, and the idea behind it:

So the idea behind my game was my interpretation of the phrase "Sacrifices must be made" which is something that may be said to you, but isn't necessarily true.

I decided to make a game that portrays this, by having the game tell you that sacrifices must be made, but they actually don't have to be made. There are no ill effects if you don't choose to sacrifice anything.

However, I failed to give myself a way to see if people got it. So I have no idea how many of my players learned they don't need to sacrifice anything.

So... Did you notice you don't have to sacrifice anything?
