Congrats on making a game in all of 12 hours! Sorry your first idea didn't work out, but great job on having a game at the end of the weekend that embodies the theme with graphics that work and sounds that fits. Complex stuff ain't always better. Words.
So, great for putting in the menu options and the instructions, that would have been a whole lot of extra work!

It really sucks to have to restart halfway through the jam, I'm sorry for you.. My feedback is taking that into account.
The game is super simple; and that's *great* because that's the most efficient way to finish a game in such a short time.
Still, as a player I feel there is a lot of time where I'm not doing anything; waiting for the next coin to appear. When you get 5 seconds extra... It *feels* like 5 seconds without coins or doing anything... It's even worse when the only coin appears outside the walls... I'd recommend just increasing the number of coins, so that at all times there's plenty of coins for the player to chase. You create more content by simply increasing a constant.
Secondly, regarding the graphics... I'm of the opinion that having a consistent artstyle is of vital importance; when it comes to pixel art, it means having everything have the same pixel size. I'd recommend making the coins, walls and player of the same pixel size (preferably the player's pixel size since it's the one that'd require least work). Little details like this can make it look much better with little extra effort, so keeping them in mind can help you make the most of the short time you have. (artwise *consistency* is the key, especially when you're short on time)
Finally... I loved the music. It's really great, both the menu theme and the game one. I especially like the jumpy bass-lines, and I love the last bars of melody in the game just as it's about to loop. What tools do you use?
Anyway... I know that working after a restart is really hard, especially since you don't get the luxury of having the time to think things through. Hopefully my feedback proves useful if you ever found yourself in such circumstances.
For such a short time, great work. And better luck next time!
@agecaf I have to say with few exceptions this is the best feedback I've ever gotten on one of my games. Thank you for taking the time to play and rate it .
As for the coin spawning speed, yeah on the drive into work I was thinking I should have sped up the spawn rates.
For the music I used a tool called autotracker, here is the link to the one I used. http://ludumdare.com/compo/tag/autotracker-py/ if you search for "autotracker python" you can find a few other repos with updated versions. Also the music is random when you play the game. It chooses 1 of 5 different songs to play.
I will keep the graphics tip in mind for my next game. I will experiment with these tips in my offline version to see if it improves the game. If I'm happy with the results I may upload a post-compo version.
The goal of that game isn't clear for me.
@andrey-ugolnik There is no goal to the game. you just collect gold coins and gold bars until the walls eventually crush you. Gold bars will stop the walls from moving for 5 seconds. I know it says milliseconds in the game, that was a typo. Thank you for playing and rating my game
Impressive work for only 12 hours! However, it feels like a lot of the time, I'm not doing anything, just waiting for the next object to spawn, upping the spawn rate of coins, and maybe having some kind of obstacles could really have upped the fun of this game. That being said, 12 hours is not a lot of time, great job on the submission :)
Good effort on finishing a contained experience! That is the hardest aspect. Better luck on your next entry!

A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)

Simple but good for the amount of time you had!

Really fun little game, especially concidering you only had 12 hours. The art is good too and I like the music. The only thing I would really change is to make the walls a little faster. Other than that the game is great. Good job :D

I'm sorry to hear you had so little time to work on the game, but what you did get done was pretty good, all things considered! I think that Agecaf person above is dead on about the game and its strengths and weaknesses. I would also add that, in addition to faster spawning coins, the walls should move in a lot quicker (to put pressure on the player) and that the gold bars should push the walls back instead of just stopping them (it's hard for me to explain, but I feel that actively reversing a process feels better than just delaying the inevitable, even if both options yield 5 more seconds of play time)
