Laggy and messy, i don't like it.

Dragging items off the screen to use them isn't working for me :/ Cool idea though.

I didn't know how to kill the monsters.

gao-ming 2018-08-13 09:21

(Drag items off the screen to use them )There is no effect

sdrrv 2018-08-13 09:21

I dint understand how to play :/ maybe a tutorial would be nice!

seannewman22 2018-08-13 09:21

I had a lot of trouble using the items by dragging them off the screen like instructed. In my opinion it may have been a better idea to have the 'use' mechanic trigger through a bit easier of an input like pressing a key. I do like the idea behind pulling it off the screen though its something I haven't seen done before, although in execution it didn't pan out so well. When mobs would explode into multiple items I had difficulty picking them up quickly, I don't know if that's lag or error on my side.

I must admit I don't really understand how to play. It might be a good idea to add something of that sort, and then I'll definitely try it again - it seems like it has potential!

nice

Thanks for the comments everyone, i wanted to implement a tutorial and change the way items were used to have multiple methods but i ran out of time :/ I may continue to develop this after the jam or reuse some of the stuff in another project :)

Like the concept but controls need work. Some performance issue?

memel06 2018-08-13 09:27

this game has some game breaking bugs. Every time you click, everything duplicates (even the soundtrack!) fix it please. have a nice day!

noa-calice 2018-08-13 09:29

I like the concept of running out of space in your inventory, but the way it's done here is so so (feels a little buggy and the art is all blurry :(). Still it's already GREAT that you finished what you started ! It's an epic achievement ! Keep making games and you'll improve like crazy ! Best of luck mate :)

camcam 2018-08-13 09:42

don't work :/

missalpha 2018-08-13 09:55

I can't seem to attack enemies

alexander-tan 2018-08-13 09:57

Doesn't work, i can only put things in inventory

aret24 2018-08-13 09:59

Cool game but i didnt know how to play it!!!:)

jole 2018-08-13 10:05

It was a bit buggy for me but i survived 1 minute! I agree with @noa-calice that if you continue you will get better :^). I wont say my ld42 is that good but my first ludum dare game was trash, you could walk but nothing else on a black screen (yeah) because of a bug but still it was only a "walking simulator" (you could open a tent) if the bug was not there. Continue making games!

shockeye 2018-08-13 11:43

I didn't see any bugs when I played. Graphics good, music good although repetitive after a while. As everyone else has mentioned, using items is not really intuitive. Also, I would suggest that item pick up be automatic - game over when inventory is full. This would suit the theme even better. As it is you can just ignore stuff that won't fit.

dsthedragon 2018-08-13 12:45

dragging off the did eventually work for me but maybe a box above the health for use will be ok

fireslash 2018-08-14 08:25

I got about 2 minutes in before dragging stopped working. It was fiddly before it worked, but after the bug hit items wouldn't move more than a few pixels from their spot in the inventory, meaning they'd always just drop back into place.

Not sure if it gets harder or not, the optimization strategy seems to be to just throw out big stuff and always grab the small items since they're more space efficient.

pamoy 2018-08-14 12:16

Like many other dragging items didn't worked :(
