The gameplay feels good, however the fun gets a bit spoiled by having to retry all the levels every death, I would recommend a checkpoint after every level, or at least having more than 1 life. Only made it to the last level once, and I kinda went off screen and couldn't return (?)

Great game! I like the idea, itfits the theme very well. But i think it is a bit t difficult to play. I wasn't able to finish the first level. Maybe I'm just not good at it, but if you would make it a bit easier, i think it ouldbe a beautyfull game

I would love to play your game but I don't install anything. Maybe in the future provide a web build, or a direct exe of the game.

xerozylir 2018-08-14 18:26

@tkap Thank you for your recommendation! I'll try my best to add checkpoints to future games to bring better experience to you guys!

@johannimations I'm sorry that the game was a bit difficult. I think I'll add a tutorial next time to help people understand my game more!

xerozylir 2018-08-14 18:28

@tgb20 Sorry about that tgb20, I'll try making web builds in my future games.

The game is really fun, but having to restart from the beginning feels bad. I enjoyed playing it though, and did finally manage to beat all the levels. =)

Addicting and fast gameplay! Really good for a first jam game. Would have been nice to have a possibility to continue a level, as playing the same first stages everytime you failed got a little repetitive. Some music/sound effects would also make a huge difference!

snoopsyspoons 2018-08-14 18:34

Yeah I agree with the other peoples comments. It is a nice game but grinding the first levels over and over just because you didn't knew what was coming next in one of the higher levels is frustrating and not fun.

xerozylir 2018-08-14 18:43

@pabricka Thanks for the compliment! Also, even though I haven't tried making sounds/music before, I'll try practicing for the next Ludum Dare.

web built would be nice, or MacOs file

Hey they nice first LD! It's a fun game! Great work! As others have said, restarting right at the beginning can be fairly frustrating so just taking the player back to the start of the current level would be a big improvement.

But this is a great first effort. Now you've gotten a game done for LD you'll be able to make something even greater next time (you're definitely joining us next time right? :p) If you can leave yourself a bit of time to create and add some SFX and music you'll have a complete package. Also if you get a chance, as you're using Unity, make a WebGL build! It should work no problem and you'll get loads more people trying your game. Definitely try to do that next time anyway!
