At first I was like WTF, it took me a while to figure out the controls. Some improvements you could make:

* Make the player be able to move the camera with `WASD` or arrow keys * Make a tile selection preview under the mouse, it was hard to figure out what is clickable on the screen, and what isn't * The `Info` part could be made more verbose, for example it took me like 2 minutes to figure out that I had to click the pugs in the fence-box-thing to earn gold. * Knowing nothing about which tower does what, the first I built was a farm instead of an actual attacking tower, and the game was over in about a minute.

I have to say I'm impressed with the graphics, the 3D animations are really good.

The musics / sounds fit well too.

Good job guys!

Thank you for the detailed responce! At the end of the development we realized that it's hard for new player to understand what is going on, but we just don't have enough time to fix it. We'll be more careful next time. Thanks again!

As the previous comment said it's not very intuitive to find how the controls works. Also I think it would have been better to earn money automatically with the farms, not by clicking on them and doing something like "watering" the farm at some points or they stop giving money (rip pugs). The music and graphism/animation were nice :)

I like combination of 3D-environment with 2D characters and animation. It give some personality for the game.

Niiice, you should add some new features (like deleting and upgrading towers/farms). Nice job, love pugs)

I do enjoy tower defense (some of your mobs did remind me lots of crystal chronicles! that's a good thing :D) and this took me a few turns to "get it" and understand what the different pugs did but then as soon as I understood it did not take long to find a build order where I felt too powerful. I ended up with enough farms that money was no problem:

and then I ended up with something like:

pug02.png

which was great fun to watch - +1 for fire breathing pugs I very much enjoyed that :D But then I didn't know what else to do. I eventually filled the whole area with pugs, nothing was getting through but I could see that things were getting stronger and would *eventually* power through me and I was just sat there waiting to one day lose. Truth be told I could not figure out the sleeping dogs - I think they are supposed to block roads? But I could not make them work :(

I think it would be really cool if after a while you started getting mobs come from different roads so you had to be more careful how you spent your resources.

Graphics great - cute, work well :) Audio very good - usually in ldjams the music gets repetitive but your BGM did not annoy me at all, very good.

Over all very good, cute tower defense game that I was glad to play! well done :)

A bit more information what to do would be welcome as i had no idea what to do in the start. But i played this way to long its fun to see cute pugs defend the garden. And i like that the path can be made so long. Will give you a long play.

I like pugs.

That said, this game needs quite a bit. Having to scroll around to pick up money from the money bin was a pain point for me, especially since there wasn't any cue that the money had refreshed and could be harvested again. Having a mini-map, or the ability to zoom out to see the whole map would have made the game much more playable. The ability to see where trouble spots are on the map, and to strategize for optimal placement of units is critical to a tower defense game.

I think it would have been a good genre combination to make a farmville-style clicker game to harvest pug units that would then be used in the tower defense half of the game.
