This was an amazing experience. I loved how you had to try and catch letters amongst the other dark contents of the man's brain. The metaphor for hurdling past objects to just string a sentence together and regaining memories was amazing. Really great job with this game!

Haha, I really enjoyed the sarcastic pretentiousness :DD Exceptional use of art!

The art is awesome but the latence between the moment i press the key and the actual jump is horrible :/

I really liked that this was more of a story driven experience (not too many of those in LD). I loved the aesthetic, reminded me a lot of LIMBO. I liked how the theme was integrated into the story. It was mechanically a bit simple but I enjoyed myself.

Beautiful, mood is very relaxing :), graphics of the character reminded me of Limbo. I love the background, sort of a sad starry night. I also really like that you pick up the words and they then appear in the letter. Gameplay was a bit odd at times, jumps didn't always seem to register and some high letters seemed unreachable. But it doesn't really hurt the enjoyment of this game, since it is more about the story anyway. Great game.

Very moody experience. I loved the mechanic or revealing the words from the letter, but wasn't able to finish the game due to control issues. The jumping was very unresponsive... The aesthetics were really nice, and it was good that there was more for the player to do while jumping, reading the words. I think the running speed got too fast too quick, and it then became just a random process whether I would finish the "level" or not.

Good job!

Really nice visuals, sound, and mood. The physics felt a little bit wonky, e.g. sometimes I'd get kind of stuck on an obstacle and then launch way up into the air. Overall a nice experience :)

What an unexpected, original take on the theme. The mood was set immediately through the visuals and music!

There is just one bug where you get shot up in the air, but that's it. We know how it is, limited time crunch :).

Great job all over!

Perfect mood, good approach on theme, the practical physics were maybe a little lacking but that's a jam game and you attempted to bring some emotions, and narrative approach, with a very clean Limbo-styled graphic style, and intelligent use of art style, paintings int he game. A really good experience overall !

bro reminded me of limbo great work!!

I will say with this time crunch you nailed the theme and mood. I really felt the story you were trying to portray.

Mechanically, it could have used a little more work. The jump button didn't always register and it made timing out jumps harder than it had to be.

Great atmosphere and style! I actually wanted to read to the end the big text, which I'm not fond of in games! Great job guys!

Great mood. I like how the letter slowly developed as the game went on.

Definitely the most engrossing story of any game I've played for LD yet. The use of Van Gogh art was really interesting. I also had some latency issues, but it didn't disrupt the experience to me too much. It actually contributed towards the feeling of helplessness that the story imparted on me.

kaisean-games 2017-12-05 23:07

Has a great potential, but the jumping is kinda buggy. Sometimes it jumps sometimes it doesn't. Couldn't find a pattern.

Very nice atmosphere though. Well done!

THanks for letting me play this on stream. Very creative and artist entry, interesting and I was keen to find out the truth behind it. The downside is, the process of discovering more and more words is very repetative and risks getting boring. Wonderful idea though, good jam entry!
