Nice job! I couldn't understand how the spawning system worked; I was able to spawn a few slimes and a guy but after I couldn't figure out how to spawn more. I tried walking around a bunch but that didn't seem to do anything. Without music it's also strangely quiet. The pixel art was cool though. All around though, nicely done!
I like the concept behind this. Once I figured out that I was summoning creatures using items, and that walking around restores HP, I started to really enjoy it. Unfortunately I got a runtime error when i bought the sword, so I don't know how I would have done. But very slick game play, since you say you had no time :)
That 'hit' noise is quite uncomfortable unfortunately.

Took me a while to figure out the summoning, but wasn't able to get past the second monster. Are items unlimited?

Very interesting take on the dungeon crawler concept, I like it! Some of the enemies, like the wizard, feel a bit too tough, as I died by getting swarmed by his summons more than a few times.

Quite a bit of potential here, too bad the item crafting didn't make it. Looks nice too, given the limited space, the peasant's sprite still has quite a bit of character. :)
