Man, you lost 95% of potential players by doing installer instead of exe or web. That's sad because game looks pretty well.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD33 → You are the monster

Cool art, and hooray for XNA even though it's long since been sunset.
I found the idea behind the reverse-tower defense cool, I did find the gameplay a little boring however as I did find at times I could just let the minions attack the castle on their own without any need for my help. Unless you read into the description the game didn't suit the theme very well but you explained why in your description. I really liked the cute art style and it reminded me slightly of the Castle Crashers vibe at times. I was annoyed by the non-existant audio. The mood wasn't great (didn't find it really ambient or dark enough)Overall the idea behind this game is great but when it comes to actuall play it didn't deliver what it could have but we all run out of time so well done overall!
It's a shame XNA is deader than dead, I haven't managed to find a new framework I like anywhere near as much.
I think it'd be worth installing something once if it meant I could play a whole bunch of entries, but I haven't seen any other XNA games yet this year. Thanks for your interest at least!
Similar idea to mine game.
Not very innovative, Tower defense and reverse ones have been done to death in the last couple of years, across all platforms and budgets. But aside from that it does pretty well on all other points.
And also in response to other XNA comments, XNA is actually coming back slightly now, since MS started recommending the community built continuation - time will tell how well it will do though, with a lot of people already shifted to alternatives. But getting a bit off-topic from the game now :)
Great graphics. The minions were adorable.
Selecting abilities was a bit annoying, specially the disable, because you had to click back and forth. Being able to use the 1-4 number keys would have been great.
A really nice graphical style, humourous narrative, and some truly interesting mechancis make this a fun entry to play. It would do well with some audio and some further development beyond the four initial mechanics (maybe an extra skill unlock each time you pass a door)
It needs to be harder, I think. It was incredibly short and I beat it first time.
The game looks nice and it's nice to see a reverse tower defence game. I had quite a few bugs, as I was scrolling a lot of the towers vanished and I had some pathfinding issues when I destroyed a tower near the end (my monsters skipped over a bunch of towers). It's fun and has some potential.
