Nice graphics :) Quite polished and well-executed.
Thanks!
Graphics are nicely polished and fit well with the game concept. Overall a decent entry so well done.
Good game. Simple premise but well executed. Lovely graphics.
Nice concept and very cute art.
Small bugs : (?)
- Sometimes the monster just stops moving and I have to release and press the arrows again in order to move again.
- is it normal that you can safely shoot the people from a greater distance than their range ?
That game would probably be great with a gamepad and an interface as beautiful as your monster.
Very good! Great graphics and well polished. After finishing it without killing anyone, I had to go back and kill everyone. Had just a blast playing!
Jojocanard - thanks for your feedback! The first is definitely a bug that I didn't get time to fix. The idea of the second one is that you have the choice to shoot them or not shoot them, since morality plays quite a big part in the game - I can see how it comes across as a bug though so I'll try to make that more obvious when I work on it more, along with a nicer interface as you say! :)
There are plenty of issues with jumping and getting stuck on the ground. Liked the monster graphic. Try to add some challenging sections and work on the engine a bit.
I like your game! It was fun to play and I like the character drawings! It's a good beginning for something bigger! Nice work!
I tried to kill all enemies to see another ending, but there is a section with three guys under a platform and the one in the middle just doesn't die no matter how much I shot at him :(
Looks unfinished.
The art is good, although I missed a stationary sprite, since you used some kind of skeletal animation it wouldn't be so hard to make it, if I'm wrong disregard this last part.
As for the gameplay, the concept is very solid and I loved the central mechanic, I think you could work on that post LD, the level design is ok as it avails the central idea very well, but still very simplish and that invisible wall at the end doesn't help.
The game feels unresponsive, the only indicator that I'm losing health are the disappearing bullets and the subtraction of the health variable which is very forgettable since it is quite small and generic.
Sometimes, the bullets go full barrel roll (start rotating and fly away), I really don't know what triggers this, it happens almost randomly.
Sound and music would be a great improvement over this initial build.
The morality system works well, but I couldn't find any immediate consequences for it, maybe it does in the ending but I couldn't find all the antidotes, so I can't really say anything about that.
Really cool stuff! I like that you can play the entire game without killing anybody. The morality counter adds a lot to this game, as does the ability to change form.
Nice work!
I like the concept of this game, but the platforming and collision detection were pretty clunky. I'd find myself getting stuck on invisible objects or having my projectiles stuck to my sprite. That said, I still enjoyed it a lot and saw a lot of potential.
I really like how the ending motivates you to play through again. I like how the player actually has a choice to be a monster or not, and the player isn't punished for whichever way they choose. It allows the game to simultaneously offer two different experiences, kind of like a good stealth game. With a bit more polish, an expanded version of this would make for an enjoyable full game.
graphics are original and gameplay is classic except for the monster transformation. Could have been more diversity in gameplay.
As a fan of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde I really appreciate the reference/inspiration/homage. Such a nice fit for the theme! I can't believe this concept wasn't exploited more this LD.
There's a few issues with collision detection here and there but I really enjoyed this entry. It had some really tense/stressful moments, and involved a lot of strategy and timing to make the best out of the antidotes you find.
Nice graphics. It's only missing audio and more polish.
I'd say this was a solid entry overall.
Liked it a lot! Good job!
