The game looks really good, i just couldn't understand the inputs (keys?). I love the graphics and the music, the physics is awesome as well. Well done

It's kind of hard to control. But I like graphics and physics!

Thanks for the feedback guys. Keys are WASD + L-Shift & space for P1, or ARROWS + R-Ctrl & NumPad 0 for P2. Or you can plug in two xbox pads and use DPad or LStick for movement, and A + B.

Press A over spears or body parts to pick them up (the parts that come out of dead enemies). Hold A to throw. Press B to do a short dash, hold B to do a longer dash.

We kinda rushed the finishing touches - could have been clearer with the instructions!

The bones sound is really nice.
The map has charisma and the movable objects give life to the game.
I didn't quite get how to play, thou. Is the second player a must? I played alone.

sergi-montaner 2015-04-21 12:32

I've tried again with an xbox controller and got it (last time i didn't read your explainatory comment, maybe you can modify the description).
I found difficult to see things to pick. Dash has a little lag.

Yes, it's a 2 player local battle game. We were inspired by playing Nidhogg and Towerfall recently at a LAN Party. We had a LOT of fun, and wanted to create a similar experience.

Once you get the controls, this is a lot of fun to play. There are a fair few bugs, but we'll try to get those fixed up and it'll be a lot more solid. We definitely need more player feedback, and make lots of things clearer. We got to crunch time and didn't even have a game manager together, so I threw that together quickly and Lew made us some overlay graphics. We could do a lot better with a bit more time :)

We might make it networkable, or maybe add some second player AI so you can play it alone... but we didn't have time for that during the jam! We have absolutely TONS more ideas for it - such as procedural level generation, more enemies, more ways to attack, better sound etc.

Unfortunately, I am insanely busy at the moment (had to take time off work for Ludum Dare!), so I'm not going to get to it immediately, but I've enjoyed playing it so much that I think we might do a little more work on it and make it a proper release :)

Thank you all so much for your feedback :D

I really like those small skeletons!
The music is good as well.

Far too confusing, but it sure looks and sounds nice.

I did not understand how could I kill the enemies, but nice game, cool art and sound.

The graphics, controls and basic mechanics are all absolutely top notch... but! We just couldn't figure out the controls right. I think some type of tutorial in game would have been ideal, although I understand making something like that would have taken precious time. Still, a fantastic entry!

lewster32 2015-04-21 19:50

Yeah, it all takes time! A ton of things are missing! :(

kabutakogames 2015-04-23 07:02

Looks really cool but I can't seem to work out the inputs?
