Overall very impressive! Great a/v work.
Once you start to get the hang of it, it's great fun. Some things could be made more clear, but all the pieces for a good game are there.
Looks and sounds great :) It took me a while to figure out that the Xs were the wires you were talking about! The mechanics are a little hard to pick up, but I like the idea of adaptive tower defence games!
Best Score: 2. It took 2 reads of the description and tries to get me building turrents, and another try to see how this should work. I gave up. I was able to build 3 turrents, but the ants are just crashing the middle one and killing the core. Awesome work for the compo, but I might be to dumb to play. Would loved to play this more because it looks polished and is my style of game. Usually :/
Although a bit too complicated, this is still a pretty solid game for the compo. Had to read your description really closely to figure out what the heck I was supposed to do. Maybe making the wires look more like something that connect things would've made understanding the game easier. The graphics and audio stood out as well above average.
A game with such non-intuitive mechanics should really have some sort of built in explanations, even in the shape of tooltips!
The game looks solid and polished, though. Nice work on that!
Even with the gameplay video I was a bit lost to be honest, I could have done with a tutorial. I think this idea is great and I can see how it fits the theme, the visuals and audio are very polished too.
