Tried to rate this... the .jar doesn't work on my lappy tho.

poohshoes 2011-12-20 04:06

Nothing happens when I double click the .jar. Do you have to have some certain java stuffs installed?

kj654321 2011-12-20 17:08

I get this error:

@revilossor I've updated the jar (I zipped it too), can you try again?
@poohshoes zipping the jar fixed it for me. Try downloading it again
@kj654321 This means it's having trouble reading files in the jar. What operating system are you using? Are you using a special command to run it?

Nice nice.

Charming graphics. Usually the pointy end is the front, however in this case it was the back of the pod. Got me confused at first :)

I'm on OS X, but I re-downloaded and it works. Very solid game, surprisingly tricky. Could use one or two more pieces, such as maybe an anchor or brake which would slow you down.

The start and the gravity effects are pretty funny. At first I thought that the controls are lame but later on I realized that the ship is affected by the gravity of the asteroids! That is a brilliant idea!
I enjoyed your game very much! Well Done!

Its fun but the gravity makes the controls feel loose, kind of like bumper boats after a few drinks.

javax.sound.sampled.LineUnavailableException: line with format PCM_SIGNED 44100.0 Hz, 16 bit, mono, 2 bytes/frame, little-endian not supported. Other than that it worked ok, but the ship felt like it was backwards.

I really enjoyed the graphics and overall idea, but I didn't like the majorly over-sensitive controls for rotating the ship. I spent most of the game battling to point the ship in the right direction (which wasn't fun), rather than trying to figure out the best way to compensate for the gravitational effects (which was the fun).
