Very simple game. You might want to add in a description on how it fits the "discovery" theme
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD19 → Treasure Shuffle

Hooray, 19700 points!
Since it restarts you at the top each time and reshuffles the chest, I just kept opening up the topleft chest over and over.
Lol, I think a lot of people are gonna end up doing that. Oh well, you're given a choice to or not. :)
Uh... could have spent a bit more time to add to the gameplay? Audio/gfx promises a bit more than what the game actually is, which is somewhat equivalent to tossing a dice a few times. :)
MediaFire has many pop ups, sugest using dropbox instead! also, medi fire makes firefox crash!
Pretty simple game, it shows you didn't invest the full 48 hours. It is however for its target quite well polished and solid, albeit the music is a tad repetetive.
Imagine what game you could've made if you planned bigger ;)
@tonic: Yeah, I wasn't really aiming for anything big. Still, thanks for the response.
@dsv101: It doesn't crash on my FireFox, but I agree with the popups being an issue. Sorry about that.
@Endurion: Music was supposed to be repetitive, cuz I don't usually rush myself like I did. The gameplay, however, I made sure it worked. I wouldn't exactly call it polished, seeing as my code is uncommented and slightly all over the place, but thanks for the compliment.
If I did plan something bigger, I would have to have some more time to think about it. I guess jumping the gun like I did though was probably not a good idea either. Still, I did sprite, compose, and coded everything, so it fits.
And if yer wondering, the tools were FamiTracker for sounds and music, MSPaint for sprites, and Game Maker 8 for coding as stated above.
Feels very random. If there's more to it, some kinds of clues would be nice. If there's not more to it, it would be nice to add some when you can find the time. I do think it helps that the player jumps from one chest to the next. Nice work.
Not much of a game, as there doesn't seem to be anything you can do to affect the outcome. Kind of a russian roulette. Pick random option until you die.
