I never really enjoyed typing games, but this is much more interesting then any other I've seen. It could use some speed variation for people who can type faster than 49 (which seems to be the limit unless you know all the phrases :P ). Though I can see how that would have been difficult to pull off right in the time frame.
I suck at typing but that is actually one of the better typing games I've tried. Perhaps its due to my slow typing that the wall in this seems really menacing. ;)
Pretty cool.
Some minor gripes:
Some of the sentences are way too long.
Stop the text from scrolling during the end round intermission.
Guess I'm a poor typist. Good job.
Only up to Java 1.5 here on OS X :(
Nice typing game.
I would keep space just a space. Because every time I write a word, that has not appeared full, I usually start typing underscore.
I hate the AFI quotes :).
Btw. how do you write ellipsis? :)
39623 with two fingers.
Ha, ha, I got some of the phrases before they finished appearing :)
It's typing. The sounds are kind of annoying, but acceptable. Perhaps you should have put in some custom and witty text related to the compo, would have made it more fun than typing some arbitrary old play scripts or whatever. I ended up typing unserscore several times even though I knew I shouldn't. Difficulty didn't increase fast enough, maybe it should have sensed typing speed and moved the string along at a suitable pace? Sometimes I had to wait for new characters to scroll in.
Great job, the game has a clean design and implementation that is appealing.
Quite polished. I was not able to get by the ' in the AFI quotes. Different keyboard layout i reckon?
surprisingly satisfying. my english is quite poor... would make a great learning game... learn to type, expand your vocabulary + correct spelling... for the animals for example, showing pictures while playing sounds would help a lot to memorize things. also playing back the correct pronunciation. it would be even fun to learn that way!.. nice thing. (probably there exist already many such games, but i never played them...). - only problem: special characters didn't work here... ('+', '!', ...)
Good idea, but I really got bored because I couldn't type ahead... found myself waiting most of the time for the text to appear. Also kept typing underscore instead of space -- wish there had been a color difference for the current letter instead.
I died on the very first sentence because it contains a ' :( Windows wouldn't let me fix it either.
Restarting the game gave me a bunch of American state names. I never knew Massachusettes was such a pain. :)
