| Oct 28 04:24:03 | Broken, Repair! | ♥ 0 | Nice little gameplay loop here! I like how the mechanics were gradually introduced at the beginning--seeing the game grow in scope was exciting. Also very addicting to get to the point where I could afford more expensive parts and I was making heaps of money. The ending got a laugh from me. Good fun! Maybe would be cool to add something to purchase that translates the morse code? I translated the first one but didn't feel like putting in the effort after that. | |
| Oct 28 04:35:02 | 10m 59s | Janitorial duties | ♥ 1 | I like the idea of the old man janitor, and I'm always down for a sokoban. The text went by a bit fast so I wasn't exactly sure what was happening the first time through. I agree with another commenter that the sound effects got to be a bit much. I like your concept of interconnected puzzles. I hope you can grow your solid foundation here into something more! |
| Oct 28 04:56:39 | 21m 37s | Thread by Thread | ♥ 0 | You got a laugh from me right at the start with "hark, tis loading." Really liked the humor here. The game play was stressful! I got a final score of 1981 by spamming a few incorrect patterns at the end of day three to just get something out there. The Queen wasn't happy with me but she took it and I passed, whew! Was the palette in endless mode meant to change the color of my design? That didn't seem to be working for me. Also the audio was quite glitchy throughout and would freeze/jitter a fair bit. Otherwise a great, creative game. Well done! |
| Oct 28 05:15:36 | 18m 57s | Caption Obvious | ♥ 1 | This game is so funny! Your full voice acting is a delight, especially "yoink" and the acapella group (the boss fight song had me laughing out loud, and then a great pay off when the boss is annoyed that his singers are not there). The gameplay of collecting title cards instead of items was really clever, and you introduce it really well at the start. The art was excellent. This might be the most fun I've ever had with a LD game. I applaud you! |
| Oct 29 00:41:48 | 19h 26m | The Basilisk | ♥ 0 | The art style of this was extremely cool, and it was fun to find what felt like secrets, though in general it would be nice to have more differentiation between background and foreground elements. The set up of the ending seemed interesting, but I was just kind of confused when I lost control of my character and it played that final cutscene. Maybe a bit of a zoom or significant change in the sound would make it clear the player isn't meant to be in control any more. Anyway, the controls felt pretty good and the vibes were excellent. Good work! |
| Oct 29 00:55:54 | 14m 06s | Wake Me Up Before You Pogo | ♥ 0 | I crashed out on level 4 (too hard for me!) but had fun giving it a good try! It's an interesting challenge to balance your height and your rotation and the jumps feel really good. The 1950s theme was super fun too, and I liked the character and her reactions to crashing, doing a loop, etc. Well done! |
| Oct 29 01:08:43 | 12m 49s | Granny's Tea & Tats | ♥ 0 | Went in very confident and then laughed aloud at the reveal of the shaky granny hand I had to work with. Cute and fun! I will say it's a bit unusual that you can tattoo off of the people, or onto their clothing, but I tried a few other things that often break scoring in games like this (ex. coloring in the whole screen) and you seem to have thought of them and foiled me! Best I could do was a 95%. |
| Oct 29 01:50:42 | 41m 59s | The Postman | ♥ 0 | Cute game, very much in the cozy vein. I could not find 1 Library or the Little Family Hamlet (though I see from other comments they were out there and I just missed them). I liked the addition of the quests, though a way to mark the map would have been helpful to keep track of where different locations were. Upgrading your character with shoes, etc feels good. Well done! |
