| Apr 21 12:34:38 | Formation Tactics: Line Breaker | ♥ 1 | Took me way too long to beat this (wave 57). I'm still not entirely sure what the optimal strategy is, but it was interesting to think on keeping reserves and how to place blocks. Nice one! | |
| Apr 21 12:48:47 | 14m 09s | Flag Fanatic | ♥ 1 | Had to put a cheat sheet to the side to play this :') But with that it was actually fun to search for the correct letter (as I alt-tabbed to stop the game from progressing). Maybe if I ever want to learn semaphore properly will I come back to this game. |
| Apr 21 14:01:35 | 1h 12m | Detection | ♥ 0 | I tried playing it on my 2DS using Twilight Menu, but unfortunately it didn't work. |
| Apr 21 15:48:13 | 1h 46m | Signalmons | ♥ 2 | I never played Plants vs Zombies, so this was a nice first experience, and fun that you combined it with Pokémon. I wish there was a bit more variety/strategy early on. I only ever had grass and water types. Not sure if a bug or intended, but never saw the flying and fire starter. Anyway, cute art and nice tune. Well done! |
| Apr 21 16:20:54 | 32m 41s | Caws & Effect | ♥ 2 | Nice game, but unfortunately a bit buggy. Sometimes the ball doesn't move when I push it, and at times it hangs still in the air with no way for me to interact with it anymore, requiring me to reset. I'm also a bit confused what the laser can do exactly, because sometimes it pushes the ball away, and other times it doesn't. But I like the art, and the crows look cute/funny. |
| Apr 22 11:48:58 | 19h 28m | Talkie | ♥ 1 | Cute game. Reminded me of those old RPG Flash games. |
| Apr 24 19:36:25 | 55h 47m | Alpine | ♥ 1 | Very nice! What not to like? Great graphics, lovely music, good mood, nice rope "physics". Very solid game with a good tutorial at the start. |
| May 6 11:01:15 | 279h 24m | Winnerman Scams a Game Show | ♥ 1 | Cool that you turned TAS into a game! Always wanted to try to make a TAS, so glad to have a first experience at that. Who knew cheating could be this much fun! It's nice that you have the many shortcuts to properly navigate the TAS tool. My only problem is that I feel like there is a wasted potential with the type of games. The basketball was the most fun, and I wish there was more of that. For the slot machine I was going for 7s, only to find out the last one only has cherry, and requiring me to do it all over. That wasn't exactly enjoyable. But I get that with compo time it's difficult to make the more difficult mechanics. Overall a nice game, and great design on Chet Quizzly! |
| May 6 11:43:58 | 42m 43s | Chomp Radio | ♥ 1 | That sure was a video game. Unfortunately, despite the many options, I didn't feel like there was a much strategy to it. I just bought a shitload of the standard canons, and sometimes lasers for the fun of it. The music is fine, but the audio mixing was not. It was sometimes difficult to hear the funny voice lines because of the loud music. Having a ton of lasers also doesn't make for a great sound. Despite some stronger enemies there isn't much variety between the levels, and before the last level I was already done with it. I do like that you need to watch out for crossing yourself, and the voicelines were funny. |
| May 6 11:58:54 | 14m 56s | Fillmore's Island | ♥ 1 | That was cute! Not sure what else to say other than lovely art and music. It's really cute how the rabbit looks at the drone. It's overall a nice experience to play, rather than frustrating. Nice that you can simply recall the drone when it's far away, and that it simply walls at the water rather than fall into it or something. Great job! |
| May 7 16:09:59 | 28h 11m | Remote Mars Raider | ♥ 1 | Interesting game! Nice that it's a toggle button press to bring up the code book, because I definitely needed it. I wish the buttons were a bit closer to each other, or that the level wasn't as big, because movement was really slow. I wonder if going for two short walks is faster than taking one long walk. Anyway, it's a cool idea, and I like the extra challenge of the circular saws. Great job! |
| May 7 16:38:16 | 28m 17s | What's that signal? | ♥ 1 | Interesting game. The voices in my head weren't a great experience, which was probably intended, so that's good. It took me a moment before I realized I had to search for the object saying signal. Very interesting art style. I'm not sure what else to say other than good job! |
| May 8 13:06:18 | 20h 28m | Signal-flag Shuffle | ♥ 0 | Good thing 100thcoin had that video, because I was lost at what I was supposed to do. It's very tricky, but fun! One annoying this is when you reserve a block, and after a throw it changes into a bomb. The crates certainly make it a lot more difficult. I feel like with a few tweaks this can be an even better game. Or maybe I just suck :) Anyway, always nice to see your innovative match-3 like games, showing the genre is far from fully explored. |
| May 8 14:04:12 | 57m 54s | For Boom The Bell Tolls | ♥ 1 | Cool game. It was indeed tough. I wish it skipped the antagonist intro after retrying, because it can be quite long. For how long it takes to input the sequence to regain health, I felt like it should have given back some more. Because you're so busy with the bells it's difficult to keep an eye out on your opponent. Where they're at, and whether they have a shield up. It would be nice to have an indicator for it in the corner of the screen, though I can also see it as part of the gameplay to check on it through the window. For the positives, it's cool that you have this intro cutscene. The enemy introductions are funny. The bell ringing actually sounds nice combined with the background music, and overall it just plays well. Great job! |
