Apr 20 18:35:35 Winnerman Scams a Game Show ♥ 1 This was a lot of fun! The timeline shenanigans were really appealing, and the personality of the characters really shined through. I do think the gameplay was more... interesting than exactly "fun", and the overall presentation, while maintaining your signature charm, was notably weaker technically than your recent entries. This all sounds kinda harsh I suppose, but I did still have a great time with it, the tradeoffs are just more noticeable than I'm used to with your games. Here's my full playthrough! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUJVEjR1zvs I also present you with the **Duality of Cherries** award! Keep them in mind during your next gambling escapades. duality-of-cherries.png
Apr 20 19:09:32 33m 57s Signal-flag Shuffle ♥ 1 This was a blast! I was very confused on how everything works for a while there but once it clicked it really clicked. You've carved out a bit of a niche as the "weird block puzzle" guy and it always really works. I know you said you were planning on adding more of a campaign mode and that would've been great to see, but it works just as well as a flat-out puzzler. Here's my full playthrough! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNeCnP7Ii6E I also present you with the **Captain Confusion** award. Maybe sort the flags out below deck next time. captain-confusion.png
Apr 20 19:58:31 48m 59s Fillmore's Island ♥ 3 A delightful little puzzler with plenty of charm. The graphical style is really gorgeous, even if it made the hitboxes a little non-obvious at times. The gameplay was fun enough to keep me going to the end, and it was short enough that I didn't feel like I was missing any mechanics. I do wish there had been a bit more of a definite ending, rather than just collecting the final battery and hitting a "You Win", but given the time constraints it doesn't bother me too much. My full playthrough is below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZR5_KDhSfw I also bequeath to you the **Rained Out** award! Keep an eye on the forecast before heading out on your next island adventure. rained-out.png
May 1 23:22:11 267h 23m Coverage ♥ 1 This was a really neat little strategy game! I agree with a lot of the comments that I wish there was a little less randomness in what plans you were offered, but regardless it was a lot of fun! The presentation was totally top notch too, simple but very effective. Here's my whole playthrough with more thoughts. https://youtu.be/Os9e496EJMo I also bestow upon you the **Exploding Phone Booth** award! This one always did seem a little out of place... exploding-phone-booth.png
May 1 23:58:14 36m 03s Operation Alien Translation ♥ 3 I seem to be an outlier in that I didn't find this to be a particularly cohesive concept. The polish and wrapping is all outstandingly done as I've come from to expect from this team, but just a flat-out memory exercise struggled to engage me enough to care about said polish. I wish there was something more to latch onto with regards to the symbols, if there was perhaps some sort of general shape pattern which corresponds to different parts of speech, or just some way to even infer what words could mean instead of flat-out making stuff up. My short term memory is quite poor so I resorted to just making notes of all the symbols, at which point it devolves into merely typing in the words from a dictionary and becomes tedium. I think there are interesting ideas here, and it could be something cool if you tied in elements of actual deduction and pattern-matching, but as it stands the presentation feels like it's wrapping something rather hollow. May 5 20:50:21 92h 52m 🐶ㅤ ♥ 3 Great work here! The polish is off the charts, and it's of course adorable. However I do find that it feels sort of like two games in one. The cleanup portion is neat, and then the boss fight comes in and the slight clunkiness of the first half becomes amplified as it diverts into proper bullet hell. I would have loved to see a little more merging of the two concepts, be that an easier boss fight or more obstacles in the initial section, but I understand that the jam time limit is very tight. My full playthrough is linked below! https://youtu.be/ksNbiWsIPvw It is also my pleasure to award you the **Most Shocking Cameo** award. That guy sure does seem familiar... most-shocking-cameo.png
May 5 21:27:55 37m 34s Blind Run ♥ 1 This was really excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed all the character interactions, and the voice acting is always lovely to see in the compo. I am notoriously terrible at puzzle games so when I saw what the game was I was a little worried about completing it in a reasonable time without getting frustrated but the difficulty curve is fantastic and everything felt very intuitive. The low-poly style isn't the most mindblowing thing ever but it is pleasant enough and given the overall amount of content I am more than happy to let some simpler models be the concession you made. More levels of this with more character interactions would be really delightful! My full playthrough is linked below. https://youtu.be/pX5EVsUdr2k I am also thrilled to present you with the **Flesh-Eating Hamster** award! I think his ears might be fooling him. flesh-eating-hamster.png
