| Apr 17 22:37:07 | Gravenguard: Rift Protectors | ♥ 5 | The gameplay mechanics in this game are so intuitive! It’s like the controls become an extension of your own instincts. Plus, the art style adds a unique flair that keeps you engaged throughout. Definitely a gem worth exploring! | |
| May 2 17:39:31 | 355h 02m | wiz | ♥ 2 | Another awesome and really well polished game! Your games arre always what we set out to do, something simple but unique that we can get really polished in the time, but we always get too abitious and convoluted! The visual and audio feedback from all the player actions was really nice and it was also not repetitive so it didn't get annoying with the sounds being the exact same every time with the pitch variation. The UI was nice and clear with a really sleek finish. I would have liked would be to be able to know what the upgrades are before selecting them but I appreciate that would clutter the game maybe? Also means we want to come and play again to select options after knowing what they are! I did find controls got a little confusing and hard to keep track of what I had available to do, especially with multiple runs and not knowing what upgrades I had this time round. The myriad of buttons meant I lost track and just stuck to the controls that I knew in the end. Although, I am not the most co-ordinated person, so might have just been me not being able to deal with more than 3 buttons! This did mean it was less addictive than some of your previous games but still enjoyable! Overall, another awesome compo entry with a great level of polish. Well done! |
| May 2 18:22:33 | 43m 02s | OOOOOO | ♥ 2 | The atmoshpere and vibes of this were impeccable! I love the visuals and the feedback of everything that happens is really nice. The attention to detail is clear with the the subtle movement of the sun bits to pick up and the particles when making a new shape making the whole game just less static and more engaging. I would say that I fthink I would have enjoyed it more if the movement was a bit easier to control to allow me to focus more on the puzzle aspect. Although I do appreciate that it adds difficulty to the game in the sections where your movement matters like dodging things. The structure of the game was really well desgined with it not feeling linear but also feeling like everything was introduced gradually and not in an overwhelming manner. This was particularly good since I didn't feel rushed and could figure out what the instructions meant at each stage and how the mechanics worked without immediately having to move on and learn another one. The instructions were a little unclear but not enough that I couldn't figure it out eventually! Overall, a really well made game with a great amount of polish! Awesome job! |
| May 3 21:44:59 | 27h 22m | My Demonic Little Demons | ♥ 1 | Used to love these slidey puzzles as a kid and this was good fun! The graphics are cute and the vibe with the background music created a nice mood. The feedback when sliding pieces was nice although a little bit of random pitch variation to the sound would have been an easy way to make it slightly less repetitive. Really nicely polished and looks very put together! I feel like it would have been nice to be able to do something with my summon, even if it was just if it did a lil squidge when you clicked it or something. A little reward for completing the puzzle! Although I understand the time constraint is always a struggle! Overall, a very complete looking game with a nice atmosphere. Bonus points for the lil kitty! |
