| Oct 7 14:08:22 | DISTANZ | ♥ 1 | Congrats on your entry :) The shrinking track was an interesting feature altough it did take a bit of time to notice it ^^ I'd advise tweaking a bit the camera because as it is I found it a bit dizzying. Maybe it's because it instantly rotates at full speed with the motorcycle, having some kind of inertia might to the trick. I'd also suggest giving more information about what's ahead to the player. You could either zoom out the camera, not make it centered aroung the motorcycle (so there would be more screenspace to display what's ahead) or also having the general shape of the circuit and our position on it somewhere in the corner of the screen. | |
| Oct 7 14:17:50 | 9m 28s | AIR NOVA | ♥ 3 | The graphics are nice and the character animation is a nice touch :) However as other have said, the gameplay is pretty limited right now. There's not much feedback as to if the ship's damaged or not and what actions are possible. I understand that if you had no coders on your team this would be quite complicated so congrats on submitting an entry anyway ! |
| Oct 7 14:40:36 | 22m 46s | Tower Swap - A Card TD Game | ♥ 2 | Yay ! Managed to clear 11 waves before dying ! Congrats on an interesting design ! However it's a bit difficult to maximise dps by switching turrets when there's so much happening at once so i found myself mainly switching between two or three turrets but not very much. The fact that I couldn't upgrade the turrets in between waves made the thing a bit more complicated because I had to do that and process the information while at the same time managing the ennemies. That doesn't mean it's not an interesting challenge but I myself would rather have a little bit more time to prepare in between waves. Also, is there a turret to help against the medic ennemies ? The suppression one didn't seem much use and I found it almost impossible to kill this type of ennemies. Well done for the graphic design it helps a lot to differentiate tower types. Overall nice job :) |
| Oct 7 14:56:30 | 15m 54s | Mental Space | ♥ 1 | Very moody entry. I think the graphics are really beautiful and convey very well this introspective and intimate atmosphere. Gameplay wise it was interesting that there never seemed to be enough room for everything that mattered altough I would have liked to reply "no" to people instead of just acknowledging and forgetting. Also is there different ending ? In one run I had hoped to manage not quite badly all the obligation but the ending was still the shattered glass. Overall, really nice entry, congrats :) ps : I know you didn't made it but the music fits perfectly, nice choice ! |
| Oct 7 18:09:50 | 3h 13m | Limited Parking Space | ♥ 2 | Managed to arrive early at the restaurant at my third try ! The game made me perfectly feel like I was stuck in traffic while having to park ahah The control of the car was a bit hard to grasp though. I don't have anything particularly interesting to suggest but I think it would be a most interesting area of improvement for the game. Good job :) |
| Oct 7 18:56:56 | 47m 06s | Cosmic Exodus: Race Against the Void | ♥ 1 | This is giving me FTL vibes ! Sorry you couldn't acheive your intended vision, it's quite obvious from the game right now that there could be more to the dialogues and the trading. Unforntunately right now, there's not much of a challenge as 80% nodes gives me what I want. I wonder though, what are the reasons some people die just after (and only then) we get some new people on board ? Like other people I also struggled to see the green destination dot because it was hidden behind the wait button while in fullscreen. Anyway, congrats on your for this jam! :) |
| Oct 7 19:23:07 | 26m 11s | Mothership | ♥ 2 | 324 aliens, a full upgrade tree and quite a lot of ressources to spare at the end, that was fun ! The gameplay was interesting and it's always a nice feeling to climb up the upgrade tree. It was sometimes a bit frustating to be able to destroy a block but being too far away to retrieve the resources. Fortunately i could gather them during a following orbit ! I think I found some kind of cheat because the ennemies do not appear before the first upgrade so that gives ample time to gather resources. Overall congrats for your game :) |
| Oct 7 19:30:57 | 7m 50s | Tow To Tomorrow | ♥ 2 | I like the concept of this one ! There's a lot a small details to it that are nice, such as the multiple atach points on the ships or the fact that they get destroyed if they touch the environment. I found the control of the boat to be a little bit too "spiny", I'd suggest adding more angular drag or the equivalent to make the boat more controllable. Good job on your entry :) |
| Oct 7 19:56:10 | 25m 13s | Cat Games | ♥ 0 | Interesting mechanic although I found it a bit too easy. I often ended the level with a lot a spare jumps. Maybe having some kind of puzzle mechanic in addition to the platforming bit would add a bit of challenge ? There's however a nice atmosphere to the game, good job :) |
| Oct 7 20:11:35 | 15m 25s | Island City Builder | ♥ 1 | There's a nice coherence to the game. I all fits quite well together, the music, the 3D models and the gameplay. It would be even nicer if the camera could be easily displaying the whole island without having to zoom out too much. Maybe by not having the island a bit offset toward the top of the screen so that the UI doesn't hide some part of it. Good job overall :) ps : I think i found some kind of optimal strategy for the game. I start by building factories until i have around +350 income, then I can build theaters, spaceports and the like and this way I can easily have a good score on the three tracks. |
| Oct 8 15:52:41 | 19h 41m | Packing and Unpacking | ♥ 1 | I'm always impressed by what can be achieved in a pico 8 game, congratulations ! The graphics are really nice and evocative and it all fits really well with the story. I would have loved to hear a bit a your music with it, I'm sure the mood would have been even more on point :) |
