| Oct 6 22:19:23 | You Have a Call | ♥ 1 | Love the theme, love the mood. (maybe it's just me but I don't see an "Audio" to vote on? That's a shame because the music was great! The only downsides I had were: - the text sometimes was really too much to read in such a short period of time. - the text in the responses being different sizes was really tough on my eyes. I like the font that you used, but the different sizes made it a little difficult to quickly read. Overall I really enjoyed this one, and I think if it had just a little bit more testing on it then these two negatives would have been taken care of. Well done!! This could be a full game. | |
| Oct 11 15:01:27 | 112h 42m | You Fix Spaceships! | ♥ 1 | This is one of my favorite entries so far. It's so good! - Great take on the theme - Fun gameplay - Great writing and humor involved. LOVED the different ships and the personalities. - Music is great and the pizzicato strings are so fitting - I love how I can see the controls from the start menu and not only when the game starts. This is great for the user-experience of the game and allows for you to not have to have some kind of tutorial / onboarding step. As soon as the game started I knew (ok Z key is the action key, and arrow keys are the movement keys). Very well done!! Thank you for the great entry. |
| Oct 11 18:06:48 | 3h 05m | Major Magics | ♥ 0 | Fun little game! Worked well for me and it didn't take long to figure out. I've noticed that usually LD games tend to lack an initial "how to play" / onboarding screen but I actually liked how yours I was just thrown into the game and then given a bit of a "hint" during the lightning strikes. I think the way you tied it to the audio buildups was very smart too. Well done! |
| Oct 13 14:57:16 | 44h 50m | Party is Over | ♥ 0 | Fun one! I really enjoy games like this and I think they are excellent for LD game jams. Some notes: - Text was a little hard to read with the drawn font - ESC instantly bringing you out of the game was just slightly annoying. Maybe a warning would work before exiting completely because I had hit ESC accidentally a few times instead of "t" to toggle the list. - I actually thought the take on the theme was great! I enjoyed it and definitely felt the pressure of dad coming home lol. - Music was well done! - The saw item took a litle bit of pixel-hunting to find but the outcome has definitely made the game memorable for me! Will get some added humor points for this game jam. Great job! I had a lot of fun with it. |
| Oct 13 15:25:58 | 28m 42s | [WebGL/HTML5] Music Demon | ♥ 3 | This was ingenious design, and being an audio person I'm totally grabbed by the way it handles the music! Well done! Fun interactions and I feel like you somehow have already had rounds and rounds of testing because the gameplay felt polished and perfectly difficult. One thing I would have liked was maybe more over the top music, like screaming guitar parts and harder hitting drums if that makes sense. Definitely not taking away any points for that though, and the feedback is meant as a more "A+ job on the music, maybe here's one little thing to take it even further". Awesome job by this team and looking forward to more! |
| Oct 13 15:32:06 | 6m 08s | Sylvestor | ♥ 1 | Lol very fun. Pros: - great humor, love the main menu buttons - good level of difficulty! Wants: - more levels! The mechanics felt smooth to me and I enjoyed the difficulty of that first initial jump in level 2. I ended up playing the game like 5 times to get a death-less run in and was successful. Fun! |
| Oct 21 14:25:57 | 190h 53m | Da Bomb! | ♥ 0 | Fun game! I think the art, animations, audio, and gameplay itself were all very fun and high quality. My one downside was that the puzzle pattern had these very fast glitches where it would display a red square sometimes at random (for a very very short period of time), and I thought that this was the pattern for a few minutes so I would be wrong over and over. I think without that little glitch it would have made that puzzle a little more straightforward for me but other than that you did an amazing job! |
| Oct 21 14:47:36 | 21m 39s | BackToSchool | ♥ 1 | Fun game! Sound design was great. I didn't have any bugs and it actually worked really well for me, but one downside was that the flashlight was a little weird. Against walls it was very bright and then far from walls it was too dim. I'm not even sure of a solution- something with the intensity var I'd guess but I've prototype'd games like this in Unity before and had the same kinds of issues. Still a fun game! I didn't beat it however, spoilers: I got to the gym and couldn't figure out what to do with the ball. |
| Oct 21 15:02:40 | 15m 04s | HALL OF GAMES | ♥ 0 | I had a ton of fun with this. Very unique, enjoyable, everything worked great, and I loved a lot of the little details, like the music getting faster. I loved the chaotic feeling! Got to 30. |
