May 4 12:46:22 Deck Shooter ♥ 1 Really impressive amount of polish (8 levels, leaderboard), and it's fun! I don't think left/right have quite enough granularity to deal with the later bosses, but I also have a hard time with bullet hells with normal keyboard input. Simplifying the controls almost makes it more accessible, though typically you'd think the opposite when layering on deckbuilding. Great job!
May 4 12:54:14 7m 52s It's Always Your Turn ♥ 0 My brain had a hard time keeping an eye on which cards were filled and targeting them with the mouse. It's like a really really rough prototype version of Clash Royale, but in that game having the two lanes and the click+place card deployment really go a long way towards making it strategic/manageable. I don't think their mana system is the only way to approach this genre, so if you want to keep working on it I'd try to think of ways to make the reaction time less important so you can take the time to deploy your cards carefully.
May 4 13:00:09 5m 55s Empty Space ♥ 0 Too hard for me, but I also hate slide puzzles. The shootemup sprites were cute and the little animations were nicely done. I think instead of a straight slide puzzle if you'd gone for something like 2048/Threes instead that doesn't have a single solution it would've been possible to integrate that part of the game back into the shooting (like maybe every time you make a match of X size it drops out a powerup to the ship side).
May 4 13:07:40 7m 31s Bar Fighter - Dating sim + Fighting game ♥ 1 Really good! I think the phone bits are hilarious, but I wish there were more choices than "obviously good" or "obviously bad." I didn't quite put together what the cooldown bar in the fight mode was doing -- it seemed like if you mostly held the low block and then kicked a bunch all the fights are passable. Maybe having different fighters have different strategies would make the game a bit deeper.
May 4 13:13:51 6m 11s DragTypist ♥ 1 My time: 59.965 seconds. Once the engine gets hot and the letter time gets super short I found it to be just chaos. I think something like this would be much easier with a Guitar Hero-style queue of letters (even if you have to still match it to a fret bar equivalent). If you're going to go with just pure response time I'd think about slimming it down to just arrow keys or asdf.
May 4 13:19:39 5m 48s Ludum Dare Review Meta Game ♥ 1 This game makes me feel old. I think it's fine to go with a board game design, but you should still code up something a little interactive. I also hate meta (games about LD strike me as lazy). So I'm probably too down on this and just come off as "old man yelling at kids to get off my lawn."
May 4 13:26:27 6m 48s Rockin' Horse ♥ 1 You got a lot done for it being in 3D. It took me awhile to figure out the difference between yellow and blue and I wasn't super consistently able to switch between them (but also suck at rhythm games). At around the 1-minute mark I jumped off the castle and kinda broke it (was just on a giant plain at that point). The steering is the roughest part -- maybe focus on gamefeel/polish a bit more?
May 9 17:29:31 124h 03m Tash Leadbeater's Stealth Rally Challenge ♥ 0 cute gag but you need some way to advance the text other than just waiting forever
May 9 17:36:09 6m 38s SneakBeat ♥ 0 took a couple of tries to figure out that i just need to pay attention to the blue arrows on the right side and can mostly ignore the left side. cute but i wish the stealth part had some gameplay instead of just being a visual progress bar for the rhythm game. overall it was cute! and you got quite a bit done in a short amount of time!
May 9 17:42:11 6m 02s Dodobrawl ♥ 1 Simple but checks all the boxes! Cute characters, interesting choices to make. I could've done with a bit more UI polish (took awhile to figure out you could hover over the cards to find out what they did).
May 9 17:45:43 3m 32s Basketball Tactics ♥ 1 Promising start. Needs more UI love to tell you what's going on (if unfamiliar with tactics it'd be hard to know that you click a piece and then click within the move rate to move the piece).
May 9 17:55:01 9m 18s "You Sunk My Scrabble-Ship" ♥ 0 once you get the hang of the controls it's quite nice. i would've liked it if the cursor on the board stayed in the same spot from move to move so you didn't have to always navigate back to a letter tile once you've mapped out the shapes and start wordcracking. for being a word game, though, this font is terrible. i did rate this highly but would've rated it even higher if i could read the letters
May 9 18:03:41 8m 40s Stealth Cooking ♥ 0 This was me as a kid, so I enjoyed it quite a bit. I like the little sound graphic. I wish it wouldn't make sound when you didn't actually move (pressing up into a wall for example).
May 9 18:07:39 3m 58s It's a Date Then: Multiplayer Crab and Moai Head dating simulator ♥ 1 love the flavor of it, had a hard time following what the actual micro-goals were
May 10 20:47:41 26h 40m Roulette Knight ♥ 0 Love the combination of themes and the art/sound are terrific!
