The sense of speed was carried across by the audio quite well, but I feel it could have had slightler more audio and sound effects, especially given the text to speech was hard to understand at some times. The car controls worked, but felt slightly slippery. I did enjoy the whole ordeal of starting the car and changing between forward and reverse through q f and r, it made it feel slightly more like a full rally game. The platformer section didn't come across very well, and I did notice that due to the car's design, the platformer sections were really hard, as they were almost all blind leaps of faith. I feel that the balance between the genres could have been improved. Overall however this was enjoyable, I liked the mood and the visual style, as well as the core gameplay mechanics. Solid work. |
