It seems like it would have made more sense for the player to only say them once. Overall very polished and the theme fits very well into the gameplay. Really had to double check to make sure this wasn't a jam. 👍 | |

The only problem (with me at least) is that the grid + fast movement can really strain the eyes. I know there isn't much of a way to get around this and still keep the 80's style but it does affect how long you can play. |
| Aug 1 06:14:38 | 22m 57s | Space Warrior | ♥ 2 | Really nice job. Gravity based arcade games are always really fun. I also am not hearing any sound though, I was using the webGL build so maybe it's related to that. The physics is balanced very well and can be really fun to play around and create slingshots with. I think that the enemies' or the projectiles' hitboxes are waaay too small. With such small hitboxes it starts to feel more like luck than anything else which seems to contradict the fun physics based combat. |
| Aug 1 14:42:03 | 8h 27m | Saturnalia | ♥ 0 | I really expect this game to end up in the top 10 in the graphics category because this game is _very_ polished. When it comes to the puzzles, they're okay. It seemed like the best way to get through them was to systematically go through each combination and see which one works. I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to be doing but the atmosphere and graphics made up for that. As for bugs, when I finished the puzzle on the right side I was able to see the final puzzle way out in the distance and actually went awhile trying to solve it but barely being able to see anything. Eventually I found the button to zoom in on it though. Also it seems like the Linux version is somewhat broken. For me the custom mouse pointer was super large and was going invisible and back very rapidly. This is probably a bug on Unity's part but maybe the ability to run in Windowed mode may fix it? |
| Aug 4 20:30:07 | 77h 48m | The Light City of Karola | ♥ 1 | Great game all around! Platforming is solid and the graphics are beautiful. Even more amazing that you made this in your own custom C++ OpenGL engine! |
| Aug 4 20:50:57 | 20m 50s | Lamplight | ♥ 0 | This is a really nice concept! Feels like minesweeper mixed with RPG. I think the tutorial didn't explain everything. For instance one of the abilities was skipped over and there were some new enemies that I didn't know the rules of. The art style is good but I had a hard time figuring out what some of the objects were (such as the ghosts' trails). Music was definitely great. However the Linux port didn't work for me, I got this error: "error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" Which doesn't really make sense since I have libcurl installed. It isn't a big deal though since most people will just go with the web version anyway. Overall I really like the concept and I think it was executed really well. |
