Like N4tticus said, a more visual indicator of your "energy" would make a huge difference, but you could also add multiple feed back, like aberrations (Image effect) as you have less "will" or as the hallucination gets closer. These aren't hard to implement and can go a long way. Also the first time i got to the end i missed the jump and ended up falling to infinity, and the background got a bit brighter, i wondered if it was a representation of us falling to a deep slumber after these 48h, that's when I realize : Its time to hit the bed ! Good job | |
| Aug 2 13:34:15 | 57h 19m | Necromancy | ♥ 2 | Good game, it was fun to play but you lack an objective (boss, level or anything really) Also at some point you get so much mana regen that its impossible to loose, you should ramp up the difficulty curve there maybe with more enemies or more powerful ones. But considering you did all that in java i have to say well played. |

I know its a jam, but some visual feedback would have made it more understandable for newcomers. I think that is the strangest submission I've seen so far, so good job on the originality. |
| Aug 2 17:37:42 | 22m 31s | The Last Wisp | ♥ 3 | I think the shrinking of the fog adds tension, you're like "Where were those damn rock I swear they were closer". Really cool game, the items were took too long to use for their benefits and I was too concentrated on my own moves to learn how to use them. Something you could do for that is not have them both at the starts which forces you fight without them at first to learn the basics, then you xp allows you to play with one then the other, instead of having to learn everything at ones. I really felt the theme here, great job ! |
